Stadio della Roma is the temporary name for Serie A team A.S. Roma's planned stadium in the Tor di Valle neighborhood of Rome. A formal name for the stadium will be decided after naming rights are awarded, but is still uncertain over how long it will take to open the stadium. The planned location is along the Tiber River and accessible via the main highway connecting the city with Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport. Seating capacity is planned for 52,500 spectators. The stadium is being designed by American architect Dan Meis in collaboration with the multidisciplinary engineering firm SCE Project, and is said to be inspired by the ancient Colosseum. Features of the stadium include luxury boxes, and a 14,000-seat section designated for the Ultras of the Curva Sud in the Stadio Olimpico, the 72,698-seat facility Roma currently shares with their crosstown rival, S.S. Lazio.

The Taipei Dome also known as the Farglory Dome (遠雄巨蛋), is a multi-purpose domed stadium under construction located in Xinyi, Taipei, Taiwan, that was originally scheduled to start construction in 2007 and be completed in 2011, although the start date had been delayed until October 2011. In addition to the stadium, there will be a complex that will include commercial facilities such as a shopping mall, movie theater, hotel, and office space. Once completed, the stadium will be used mostly for baseball games, but it will also be used for other sporting events such as football and softball. It will be located at the corner of Zhongxiao East Rd. and Guangfu South Rd. Additionally, it was previously planned to be the main stadium of 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade. In May 2015, the Taipei City Government ordered a suspension of construction.

YelloPark was a proposed football stadium planned to be built in Nantes, France. It was expected to serve as the stadium of FC Nantes and as a football venue for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris and the 2023 Rugby World Cup. The stadium would have had a capacity of 40,000 and its construction was projected to take place between 2019 and 2022. It was to be built near the Stade de la Beaujoire that it was planned eventually to replace.
