European Championships (multi-sport event)

The European Championships is a multi-sport event which brings together the existing European Championships of some of the continent's leading sports every four years. The inaugural edition in 2018 was staged by the host cities of Berlin, Germany and Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom between 2 and 12 August. The second edition in 2022 will take place in Munich, Germany. European Championships in these sports held outside this quadrennial framework are unaffected.

The ADAC Schauinsland Race was a motor sport event that took place mainly in the borough of Freiburg im Breisgau in south Germany, which took place between 1925 and 1984 on an old logging track, the present day L 124 (Schauinslandstraße), from Horben to the Schauinsland Pass. The route climbed through 780 metres of height over a course of twelve kilometres. Even today it is the longest and most winding mountain racecourse in Germany and the venue for several European Hill Climb Championships.

The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) and is the sport's oldest competition. The first European Championships was held in 1891 in Hamburg, Germany and featured one segment, compulsory figures, with seven competitors, all men from Germany and Austria. It has been, other than four periods, held continuously since 1891, and has been sanctioned by the ISU since 1893. Women were allowed to compete for the first time in 1930, which is also the first time pairs skating was added to the competition. Ice dance was added in 1954. Only eligible skaters from ISU member countries in Europe can compete, and skaters must have reached at least the age of 15 before July 1 preceding the competition. ISU member countries can submit 1-3 skaters to compete in the European Championships.

The European Grasstrack Championship is a motorcycle championship and is organised by Union Européenne de Motocyclisme. The first championship took place in 1978 at Hereford Racecourse, England and was won by Chris Baybutt. The competitors qualified though two semi-finals. Don Godden of England won the first semi-final in Artigues de Lussac, France and Skjold Larsen of Denmark won the second in Stadskanaal, Netherlands.

The European Go Championship or Congress (EGC) is the annual and main event of many organised by the European Go Federation for players of the board game Go. It consists of a 2-week open competition, one round per day, making a total of 10 rounds with a champion ultimately emerging - the player with the most wins. The congress has taken place in a different European city each year, since the first contest in 1983. During these two weeks, the best Go players in Europe fight for the title of European Champion. Entry in recent years has been from a low of 290 to a high of 718 players.
