
The American Association of Professional Baseball is an independent professional baseball league founded in 2005. It operates in the central United States and Canada, mostly in cities not served by Major League Baseball teams or their minor league affiliates. Joshua Schaub is the league commissioner. League offices are located in Moorhead, Minnesota. Though a separate entity, the league shared a commissioner and director of umpires with the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball during that league's existence. The American Association of Professional Baseball has 501(c)(6) tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service. In 2020, as part of MLB's reorganization of the minor leagues, the American Association, together with the Atlantic League and the Frontier League, became an official "MLB Partner League".

The Australian Rugby Championship, often abbreviated to the ARC and also known as the Mazda Australian Rugby Championship for sponsorship purposes, is a now-defunct domestic professional men's rugby union football competition in Australia, which ran for only one season in 2007. It was the predecessor to the current National Rugby Championship. The competition, similar to New Zealand's ITM Cup and South Africa's Currie Cup, aimed to bridge the gap between existing club rugby and the international Super Rugby competition then known as Super 14. The ARC involved eight teams: three from New South Wales, two from Queensland, and one each from the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Western Australia.

The Australian Women's Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) is top-tier women's ice hockey league in Australia. This league represents the highest level of national competition for women's hockey and is currently represented in five states: South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia and Victoria. The Joan McKowen Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the league playoff champion at the end of each season. The current champions are the Sydney Sirens. They defeated the Adelaide Rush 3-0 in the 2019 Championship on February 2, 2020.

College Hockey Mid-America (CHMA) is an American Collegiate Hockey Association Division I ice hockey conference with teams in Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The league was formed in 2006 after members of the now defunct University Hockey League organized the league and moved from the ACHA's Division II to Division I.

Division 1, branded as Ettan, which also is its common name in everyday speech, is the third level in the Swedish football league system and consists of 32 Swedish football teams. Division 1 was the second tier from 1987 to 1999, but was replaced by Superettan in 2000. It was reestablished for the 2006 season as the third tier below Superettan.

The Futsal Thai League is the top league for futsal clubs in Thailand. It is sponsored by AIS and therefore officially known as the AIS Futsal Thai League.

The Joan McKowen Memorial Trophy is the annually awarded championship trophy, of the Australian Women's Ice Hockey League (AWIHL), to the winner of the AWIHL finals. Originally donated in 1995, the trophy is named after Joan McKowen who died September 15, 1992 and her husband Maxwell McKowen died in 2010.

The Mindanao Visayas Basketball Association (MVBA) was a community-based amateur commercial basketball league in Southern Philippines sanctioned by the country's National Sports Association for basketball, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP). The league is made up of teams from the Visayas and Mindanao. Formal operations began on February 25, 2006 with the opening of the ML Kwarta Padala First Conference at the MSU-IIT Gym in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte. Forward Mark Bonifacio of Montana Pawnshop-Davao made the first basket in league history during the opening game versus PacMan-GenSan.

The New York State League was an independent baseball league that played six seasons between 2007 and 2012 in New York State and the New York City metro area. Over 500 NYSL players have been signed by professional teams. Players from forty-eight states and eleven countries have competed in the league. The NYSL was the developmental league for the Can-Am League. Its level of play was self-described as being on par with the lowest level of minor league baseball, the complex-based "rookie" leagues. The total of 7 teams were the Blue Sox, Capitals, Colonials, Empires, Federals, Hudsons and Robins, were spread out in New York state like in Albany ; and in the last seasons, the rest were all in New York City.

The Nike Summer League is a defunct pre-season collegiate basketball tournament in the Philippines sponsored by Nike. Its first season started in 2006. The tournament was last held in 2009. Games were telecast on TV by Studio 23.

The NorZone Premier League is one of three top tier state-level soccer competition in the Northern Territory of Australia. It comprises teams within the NorZone region, centred in Darwin and the surrounding rural areas. The league is conducted by the state administrative body, Football Federation Northern Territory.

The National Soccer League, also known as the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League for sponsorship reasons, is the men's top division of association football in Papua New Guinea. It is a nationwide league formed in 2006 by Papua New Guinea Football Association.

The Prva A liga, for sponsorships reasons named the Erste Liga, is the top-tier professional basketball league in Montenegro. It is the highest basketball division organized by the Basketball Association of Montenegro (KSCG). It was established in 2006. shortly after Montenegro declared its independence from Serbia and Montenegro.

The River Valley Conference (RVC) is a high school athletic conference whose members are located in smaller communities in eastern Iowa. The conference roughly spans from the Iowa City metropolitan area to the southwest, to Bellevue in northeastern Jackson County on the northeast. The RVC was founded in the 2013-2014 school year.

The Toyota Second XI or Futures League is the Australian national second XI cricket competition.

The Basketball League of Serbia, is a top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS).

The SVB Derde Divisie is an annual football tournament organized by the Surinamese Football Association (SVB) since 2006. It is also known as the SURIBET Lidbondentoernooi due to sponsorship. The tournament is contested by the winners and runners-up of the districts leagues from the 20 regional member associations of the SVB. The winner and runner-up of the tournament can then qualify for the SVB Eerste Klasse, the 2nd tier of football in Suriname. In 2017, the competition was rebranded as the SVB Derde Divisie.

Thai League 4, commonly known as the T4, is the Fourth Level League in Thailand. In 2009, it was divided into five groups by geographic region. Each group contained 16 clubs except for the Southern Region group which contained 13 clubs. It was sponsored by AIS and therefore officially known as the AIS Regional League Division 2. In 2016, Khor Royal Cup became a trophy for Regional League Division 2. In 2017, Football Association of Thailand rebranded the league to Thai League 4.

United League Baseball was an independent baseball league that operated in Texas. The league operated from 2006 to 2009. The league then temporarily merged with the Northern League and the Golden Baseball League to form the North American League from 2011–2012. However, after the North American League folded at the end of the 2012 season, ULB was reformed. It dissolved for a second time in January 2015.

The Serbian Volleyball League is the highest level of men's volleyball in Serbia and it is organized by Serbian Volleyball Federation. It often refer as Wiener Städtische Liga, named after the main sponsor of the league, Wiener Städtische. Serbia Volleyball League is currently contested by 10 clubs.
