It is incorporated as a non-profit organization in the State of Texas, and created to "recognize, memorialize, and applaud the bull riders, bullfighters, bulls, stock contractors, events, and individuals who have had a made a historic contribution and attained stellar performance in the sport." Membership is open to fans worldwide.

This List of Canadian Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame Inductees was created by the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) for the Canadian Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame to recognize extraordinary athletes, both human and animal, in the sport of rodeo. It was founded in 1979 to honor and distinguish these individuals as well as the builders in the Canadian rodeo arena. The Canadian Rodeo Historical Association qualifies the inductees. The Canadian Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame is located at the Calnash Trucking Ag Event Centre in Ponoka, Alberta. Many artifacts from the varied history of rodeo are on display there.

This List of Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Champions contains champions and awards in the professional sport of rodeo. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is the oldest and largest professional rodeo organization in the United States that sanctions men's events. The PRCA is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This article lists all of the major champions from each of the events held yearly at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) and the National Finals Steer Roping (NFSR). Barrel racing finals also take place at the NFR but are sanctioned by the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA). It also lists the All-Around Cowboy Champion, awarded to the competitor who wins the most prize money in a year competing in at least two events. The bucking livestock from the three roughstock events are also awarded championships titled stock of the year. Also listed are the winners of various awards given during the NFR, such as the timed-event awards for AQHA/PRCA Horse of the Year and the Top NFR Bucking Stock. The PRCA also runs the ProRodeo Hall of Fame which inducts new members annually.

The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) created the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Museum of the American Cowboy to recognize extraordinary athletes, both human and animal, in the sport of rodeo. Induction into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame is the highest honor for rodeo contestants participating in the PRCA today. Contestants are honored in several categories on a yearly basis. The hall opened its doors in 1979. Since 1979, 250 people, 31 animals and 27 rodeo committees have been inducted. More than 100 are nominated each year, only a few are selected.

The Texas Trail Hall of Fame is a cowboy hall of fame. Established in 1997, the hall is located at 208 N.W. 24th Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76164. The hall honors individuals who have contributed to the Western way of life. The Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District is the home of the hall. It is also where bronze inlaid markers are placed for each inductee. The markers are created to resemble a frontier marshall's badge. Each inductee's name is inscribed on the marker. New inductees are honored each year during ceremonies at the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering and Western Swing Festival.
