The Aero Club Argentino was founded in 1908 by Jorge Newbery, Aaron de Anchorena, Arturo Luisoni, Horacio Anasagasti, Alberto Mascias, Antonio de Marchi, and Carlos Himshe. Initially the club was dedicated to promoting the spirit of aviation sponsoring early experiences with aerostatic balloons.

The Aéro-Club de France was founded as the Aéro-Club on 20 October 1898 as a society 'to encourage aerial locomotion' by Ernest Archdeacon, Léon Serpollet, Henri de la Valette, Jules Verne and his wife, André Michelin, Albert de Dion, Alberto Santos-Dumont, Henri Deutsch de la Meurthe, and Henry de La Vaulx. On 20 April 1909, its name was changed to Aéro-Club de France.

The Aero Club of America was a social club formed in 1905 by Charles Jasper Glidden and Augustus Post, among others, to promote aviation in America. It was the parent organization of numerous state chapters, the first being the Aero Club of New England. It thrived until 1923, when it transformed into the National Aeronautic Association, which still exists today. It issued the first pilot's licenses in the United States, and successful completion of its licensing process was required by the United States Army for its pilots until 1914. It sponsored numerous air shows and contests. Cortlandt Field Bishop was president in 1910. Starting in 1911, new president Robert J. Collier began presenting the Collier Trophy.

Hisar Airport is a public airport serving Hisar in Haryana state of India. It is located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north-east of the city center on National Highway 10. Hisar is a Counter Magnet City within the National Capital Region of India, inside the influence zone of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project (DMIC). The airport site lies 165 kilometres (103 mi) from Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi and 280 kilometres (170 mi) from the capital's Chandigarh International Airport. Hence the Haryana State Government chose to develop an aviation hub at Hisar, encompassing an international airport, a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) zone, and aero manufacturing industrial zone spread across 4,194 acres (1,697 ha) To this end, the State Government of Haryana has made provisions of INR 50 crore in 2016–17, INR 50 crore in 2017–18 and INR 120 crore in 2018–19.

The LGC is open 364 days a year and is one of the largest and oldest Gliding Clubs in the United Kingdom. The club provides gliding courses, one day courses and trial lessons for members of the public.

The Quiet Birdmen is a secretive club in the United States for male aviators. Founded in 1921 by World War I pilots, the organization meets in various locations, never announced to the public. Members, called QBs, must be invited to join, and they join for life. Today, the club's membership, organized into regional "hangars", is made up primarily of retired airline, military and freight pilots, as well as a few astronauts. It is also known as ye Anciente and Secret Order of Quiet Birdmen.

The club formed in 1934 from an amalgamation of gliding concerns from the West Riding of Yorkshire and has been in existence for over 80 years and has had many famous fliers such as Nicholas Goodhart, Amy Johnson and Fred Slingsby.
