
Norman Tyrell Banks, MBE was a pioneering radio broadcaster of Australian rules football in Melbourne for over 50 years from the 1930s. Banks is also famous as the founder of Carols by Candlelight. In later years, he was known for his strongly conservative viewpoint on talkback radio.

Kevin Charles Bartlett AM is a former Australian rules footballer and coach who played in the Victorian Football League between 1965 and 1983 for the Richmond Football Club. He has played the third highest number of games in VFL/AFL history. He won five premierships with Richmond, and won their best and fairest medal five times. In 2008, he was listed by journalist Mike Sheahan as the ninth greatest player of all time in the AFL-commissioned book, The Australian Game of Football.

John Raymond Dyer Sr. OAM, nicknamed Captain Blood, was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) between 1931 and 1952. One of the game's most prominent players, he was one of 12 inaugural "Legends" inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame. He later turned to coaching and work in the media as a popular broadcaster and journalist.

Walter "Wally" John Foreman was a sports administrator and commentator for ABC Radio program "Grandstand" based in Perth, Western Australia.

Daniel Patrick Frawley was an Australian rules football player, coach, administrator, commentator and media personality. He played 240 games for the St Kilda Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL)/Australian Football League (AFL) from 1984 to 1995, captaining the club for nine seasons, and won All-Australian selection and the St Kilda best and fairest award in 1988. Frawley coached the Richmond Football Club from 2000 to 2004, with his most successful season coming in 2001, when he coached Richmond to a preliminary final. He later served as chief executive officer of the AFL Coaches Association from 2008 to 2014 and had part-time roles with the Hawthorn Football Club and St Kilda.

Douglas James Hawkins is a former Australian rules footballer who represented Footscray and Fitzroy in the Australian Football League (AFL). He also enjoyed a brief career in media and ran for the Senate, as a member of Palmer United Party, in the 2013 Australian federal election.

Hudson has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree which he earned in 1993 at RMIT University.Hudson became well known during the 1990s as a commentator for 3AW Football and subsequently the Seven Network and then Network Ten where he cemented his name.

Ian William Geddes Johnson, was an Australian cricketer who played 45 Test matches as a slow off-break bowler between 1946 and 1956. Johnson captured 109 Test wickets at an average of 29.19 runs per wicket and as a lower order batsman made 1,000 runs at an average of 18.51 runs per dismissal. He captained the Australian team in 17 Tests, winning seven and losing five, with a further five drawn. Despite this record, he is better known as the captain who lost consecutive Ashes series against England. Urbane, well-spoken and popular with his opponents and the public, he was seen by his teammates as a disciplinarian and his natural optimism was often seen as naive.

Bruce William McAvaney OAM is an Australian sports broadcaster with the Seven Network. McAvaney has presented high-profile events including the AFL Grand Final, Melbourne Cup, Australian Open and Summer Olympics, as well as annual special events such as the Brownlow Medal. McAvaney is well known for his commentary of AFL matches as well as covering every Summer Olympic Games from Moscow 1980 until Rio 2016.

She also co-hosted the short-lived revamp of the Nine Network program The Footy Show in 2019.

John Noel William Newman, better known as Sam Newman, is an Australian media executive and radio and television personality. Originally known for his contribution to Australian rules football as a player for the Geelong Football Club, he has come to be better known as a media personality with controversial views on certain topics.

Thomas Outridge was an Australian rules football player and administrator. Originally from Ballarat, Victoria, he played 217 games for Perth and Subiaco in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), and also represented Western Australia in 27 interstate matches, captaining the side at the 1930 Australian National Football Carnival. Outridge was also the winner of the inaugural Sandover Medal, in 1921. After his retirement, he served as secretary and later president of the Subiaco Football Club, and also as a commentator. In 2004, Outridge was inducted into the West Australian Football Hall of Fame.

Mark Anthony Ricciuto is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). From Waikerie, South Australia, Ricciuto started as a junior with the local Waikerie Magpies Football Club. He joined the West Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), making his debut at the age of 16, before being recruited by Adelaide as a zone selection prior to the 1993 season.

Edward James Whitten OAM better known as Ted Whitten or E. J. Whitten, was an Australian rules footballer who represented Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL), and Victoria in interstate football.

Gordon "Roy" Wright was an Australian rules football player with the Richmond Football Club in the VFL during the 1940s and 1950s, and television personality during the 1960s.

Basil Anthony Zempilas is an Australian television and radio presenter, sports commentator and politician based in Perth, Western Australia. Zempilas presents sport on Seven News Perth, Monday to Thursday and from January 2014 until 11 December 2020 co-hosted Perth radio station 6PR's breakfast program with Steve Mills. He is also a member of the Seven Network's AFL football commentary team. Zempilas has commentated on the Olympics and several other major sporting events, was formerly with radio station 92.9 in Perth and has previously been a co-host of Weekend Sunrise. In 2020, Zempilas was elected Lord Mayor of Perth.
