Croker Oars is an Australian manufacturer of rowing oars that was started by Howard Croker OAM in Sydney, Australia. They are now manufactured on Oxley Island, Taree, on the banks of the lower Manning River, in New South Wales. During the 1950s, Croker and his two brothers were students at Newington College and their father was a rowing coach at the school. Howard Croker went on to be a successful rower in the 1960s, winning both State and National rowing titles. Croker rowed for the then Haberfield Rowing Club at Dobroyd Point and was a coach in the years 1975 and 1976 at The Scots College. Croker Oars currently produce sculling and sweep oars for the Australian and international market. Croker also manufactures surf boat oars. Many elite rowers use Croker oars and together with Concept2 oars they make up the majority of oars used in international competition.

The Hazewinkel is a 2,000 m rowing and regatta course belonging to Bloso in Heindonk, municipality of Willebroek, near Mechelen, Belgium. The site consists of a finishing tower, boathouses, a cafeteria and eight basic huts that house athletes using the lake. The course hosted the Great Britain Rowing team's national final trials for some years and, in July 1996 and 2006, the World Rowing Under 23 Championships too. It has also hosted two World Rowing Championships as well as the World Rowing Junior Championships (1997).

Hubbard Hall, often called "The Boat House," is the historic home of the United States Naval Academy's rowing teams in Annapolis, Maryland. Located on Dorsey Creek, off of the Severn River, it was completed in 1930 for the 40-man heavyweight rowing team. It supports the men's lightweight and heavyweight teams and the women's team with over 200 members. The Academy is in the process of completing a new USD $20 million renovation of the entire building including the rowing tank.

The Metropolitan Regatta was established in 1866 on the tideway through the initiative of Herbert Playford, Captain of London Rowing Club. The event's first honorary secretary was Charles Dickens, Jr. The Regatta ran until 1977 on a course between Putney and Hammersmith of a mile and three-quarters. The regatta resumed in 1980, at Thorpe Park, Surrey. It moved to Royal Albert Dock in 1988 and its current home at Dorney Lake in 2001.
