The Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic is a professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour (LET) that was played for the first time in October 2006. Its prize fund of €500,000 made it the fourth most valuable tournament on the LET. Promoted and organised by golf in Dubai, the tournament is played on the Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club, which also hosts the Omega Dubai Desert Classic on the men's European Tour.

Ras Al Khaimah SC is an Emirati club based in RAK City, Ras al-Khaimah. They played their home games at the Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium. They folded after the 2017-18 season due to financial problems.

UAE Second Division League is the third and lowest tier of football league competition in the United Arab Emirates, the league is organised by UAE Football Association for private funded clubs and universities with amateur teams. The league was established in 2019. The league featured 10 teams who played each other twice in its first season however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE footballing season was cancelled and declared a void and all results were null. Around the 2020–21 season, UAE FA announced that the league will be expanded to 20 teams featuring more privately owned clubs and football academies.

United Arab Emirates participated in the 1998 Asian Games held in Bangkok, Thailand from 6 December 1998 to 20 December 1998. United Arab Emirates won a silver and a bronze medal and finished at 28th position in a medal table.

The United Arab Emirates participated in the 3rd West Asian Games held in Doha, Qatar from December 1, 2005 to December 10, 2005. The United Arab Emirates ranked 5th with 7 gold medals in this edition of the West Asian Games.

The United Arab Emirates competed at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, China. The Emirati delegation consisted of 24 people, of whom eight were competitors: six athletes, one powerlifter and one sport shooter. Other members of the delegation included representatives of the country's Athletes with Special Needs organization, led by Abdul Razak Ahmed al Rasheed. The Emirati team was sponsored by the Abu Dhabi-based Union National Bank.

United Arab Emirates competed at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan from September 17 to 27. UAE sent a delegation consisting of 52 competitors for the multi-sport event.
