Museo del Hombre y la Tecnología is located in Salto Department, Uruguay. Its exhibitions are devoted to demonstrating how the evolution of technology has influenced the lives of the people of Uruguay and the rest of the world. The museum is housed in the old Central Market in a building constructed built between 1909 and 1915. Its rooms have interactive exhibits dedicated to the evolution of technology in the region. There are eleven rooms and a central area. The museum's director since 2010 is Professor Mario Trindade. The collections include agricultural machinery from the time of colonization, watches, cameras, vintage clothing, and archaeological finds from the past 2,000 years, discovered during the construction of the Salto Grande Dam, among others. A separate room has information about the dam and its operation.

The touring exhibition showcases failures to provide visitors a learning experience about the important role of failure for innovation and to encourage organizations to become better at learning from failure. The exhibition first opened on June 7, 2017 in Helsingborg, Sweden. The exhibit reopened at Dunkers Kulturhus on June 2, 2018 before closing in January 2019. A temporary exhibit opened in Los Angeles in December 2017. The Los Angeles museum is on Hollywood Blvd. in the Hollywood & Highland Center. The exhibit opened January - March 2019 at Shanghai, No.1 Center (上海第一百货). And in December 2019 a smaller version opened in Paris, France at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie along with other interesting failure-related exhibitions for the "Festival of Failures"

The Waterworks Museum is located on the northern side of Table Mountain, between the Woodhead and Hely-Hutchinson Reservoirs, in Cape Town, South Africa. The museum was founded in 1972 by Terence Timoney, a retired waterworks engineer. The museum houses a display of memorabilia from the construction of the dams on Table Mountain which include a beautifully restored narrow gauge steam engine. It has an interesting display of original equipment, hand tools, instruments and photographs and includes the original well-preserved steam locomotive used to haul equipment from the old cableway at Kasteelspoort.

The Yangshupu Waterworks is a waterworks built in 1883, and located at 830 Yangshupu Road (杨树浦路830号) in the district of Yangpu, Shanghai, China. The waterworks was the first of its kind to be built in China and provided running water for the first time to some of the cities' residents. It belongs to the Shanghai Water Company and occupies a site of 32 acres and has four major lines of tap water allowing for a maximum capacity of around 1.5 million cubic metres a day. In 2009 it supplied 400 million cubic metres of water, about 20% of the total water supply of Shanghai.
