The 2014 Post Danmark Rundt was a men's road bicycle race held from 6 August to 10 August 2014. It was the 24th edition of the men's stage race, which was established in 1985. The race was rated as a 2.HC event and formed part of the 2014 UCI Europe Tour. The race was made up of six stages over five days and covered a total of 815 kilometres (506 mi), including an individual time trial. It featured 14 teams, including three UCI ProTeams.

The 2014 BWF World Championships were held from 25 to 31 August 2014 at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Denmark competed at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, in Nanjing, China from 16 August to 28 August 2014.

Denmark are competing in the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zürich, Switzerland. Sixteen athletes were selected for the championships, making it the biggest team since the 2002 championships.

Denmark competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, from 7 to 23 February 2014. A team of 12 athletes in 3 sports are competing for the team. Their best placements were sixth in men's and women's curling.

Denmark sent a delegation to compete at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia from 7–16 March 2014. This was Denmark's tenth appearance at a Winter Paralympic Games. The Danish delegation to Sochi consisted of two alpine skiers, Ulrik Nyvold and Line Damgaard. Nyvold failed to finish either of his events, while Damgaard placed 12th in the women's standing slalom and 15th in the women's standing giant slalom.

The 2014 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships took place on March 29, 2014. The races were held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The essentially flat one-loop course was beginning and ending in the city centre by Christiansborg Castle.
