
Thailand will be the host nation for the 2014 Asian Beach Games held in Phuket from 14 to 23 November 2014.

Thailand participated in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea from 19 September to 4 October 2014.

The Fourth Asian Beach Games were held in Phuket Island, Phuket Province, Thailand. The games were originally scheduled for Boracay Island, Aklan, Philippines, but was affected by the OCA's hosting changes.

Thailand participated in the 2014 Asian Para Games–Second Asian Para Games in Incheon, South Korea from 18 to 24 October 2014. Athletes from Thailand won total 107 medals, and finished sixth at the medal table.

The 43rd Thailand National Games were held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from 9 to 19 December 2014. Competition included 43 sports and 77 disciplines. These games held in the 80th Birthday Sport Center, Suranaree University of Technology Sport Center. Nakhon Ratchasima also hosted the 2007 Southeast Asian Games.

Thailand competed at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, in Nanjing, China from 16 August to 28 August 2014.

Thailand competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia from 7 to 23 February 2014. The Thai team consisted of two athletes, Vanessa Vanakorn and Kanes Sucharitakul, both competing in alpine skiing. This was Thailand's third appearance at a Winter Olympic Games, and their first since 2006, having missed the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
