A demo containing player and team creation tools was released on April 5, 2017. The game was released on May 5, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Microsoft Windows via Steam on July 21.

It was developed by Melbourne based Beam Software and published under their "Laser Beam" publishing title in 1992.
