
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia. Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, and as the NLB League from 2006 to 2011.

The Premier A Slovenian Basketball League, abbreviated as 1. SKL and known as the Liga Nova KBM due to sponsorship reasons, is the top-level professional men's basketball league in Slovenia. The league, operated by the Basketball Federation of Slovenia, consists of eleven clubs. The most successful team is Olimpija with 17 titles.

The Slovenian First League of Handball, currently named Liga NLB due to sponsorship reasons, is the top team handball league in Slovenia. It is organized by the Handball Federation of Slovenia. The league comprises twelve teams.

The Prva slovenska nogometna liga, currently named PrvaLiga Telekom Slovenije [ˈpərʋa ˈliːɡa ˈteːlɛkɔm slɔˈʋeːnijɛ] due to sponsorship reasons, also known by the abbreviation 1. SNL, is the main football league in Slovenia, and was formed in 1991 after Slovenia became an independent country. From 1920 until the end of the 1990–91 season, the Slovenian Republic League was a lower division of the Yugoslavian league football system. The league is currently governed by the Football Association of Slovenia. Between 2001 and 2012 the league was governed by the Association of 1. SNL. Celje and Maribor are the only two founding clubs that have never been relegated from the league since its foundation in 1991.

The 1A. DOL, currently named Sportklub 1. odbojkarska liga due to sponsorship reasons, is the highest men's volleyball league in Slovenia. It is run by the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia.

The Slovenian Women's Volleyball League or 1A. DOL ženske is a women's volleyball competition organized by the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia. It was established in 1991.

WABA League, commonly known as the Adriatic League also known as the BTravel WABA League for name sponsorship reasons, is a top-level regional basketball league, featuring female teams from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia. Clubs from Austria, Turkey, Hungary, Italy and Macedonia had their representatives in WABA League in past seasons. Since 2012 a Cadet WABA League and since 2014 Pionir WABA League is also played.
