
The De Vere Northumberland Seniors Classic was a men's professional golf tournament on the European Seniors Tour from 1995 to 2005. Until 2002 it was called the De Vere Hotels Seniors Classic.The tournament was held at Belton Woods near Grantham from 1995 to 1998, Ferndown Golf Club, Ferndown, Dorset in 1999 and 2000, and Slaley Hall, near Hexham, Northumberland from 2001 to 2005.

The Desert Diamond West Valley Phoenix Grand Prix was an IndyCar Series race held at the Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona. USAC moved the fall race and added a spring race to the newly built Phoenix International Raceway in 1964. The race became a CART event in 1979, and joined the Indy Racing League in 1996. It was held continuously through 2005.

The East African Athletics Championships, also known as the Zone V Championships, was an international athletics competition between East African nations, organised by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA). It was established in 1995, the same year as two other regional championships: the West and North African Athletics Championships and the African Southern Region Athletics Championships. The competition succeeded the East and Central African Championships as the premier regional athletics competition for the region. All the events at the championships were in outdoor track and field.

The Mobile Cup was a senior men's professional golf tournament played on the European Seniors Tour from 2002 to 2005. In 2002 and 2003 it was held at Stoke Park Golf Club, Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, in 2004 it was played at The Oxfordshire Golf Club, Thame, Oxfordshire, while in 2005 it was held at Collingtree Park Golf Club, Northampton. In 2002 Bernard Gallacher's victory was his only success on the European Seniors Tour. Carl Mason's win in 2003 was the first of his record 25 wins on the tour.

The Nigel Mansell Sunseeker International Classic was a men's professional golf tournament on the European Seniors Tour from 2003 to 2005. It was staged at Woodbury Park Golf Club, Woodbury, Devon, England. Total prize money was £150,000 with the winner receiving £22,500.

The San Francisco Grand Prix was a road cycling race held in San Francisco, United States in early September. It was as a 1.HC event and in 2005 part of the UCI America Tour. It lasted five years.

The Stella Artois Clay Court Championships was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor red clay courts. During its existence, it was an annual event on the Challenger Series, the second tier of competition of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). It was held each July, from 2001 through 2005, at the Budaörsi Teniszcentrum in Budapest, Hungary.

The Tobago Plantations Seniors Classic was a senior men's professional golf tournament played on the Caribbean island of Tobago, part of Trinidad and Tobago. It was an early season event on the European Seniors Tour, played annually from 2002 to 2005. It was hosted by the Tobago Plantations Golf Club, Lowlands, Tobago. The 2005 event had prize money of US$250,000 with the winner receiving $37,500.
