WThe 2017 Transplant Games were a multi-sport event held from 25 June to 2 July 2017 in Málaga, Spain. They were the 21st edition of the World Transplant Games.
WThe 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II were the two international ice hockey tournaments organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Division II A was contested in Tallinn, Estonia and Division II B in Logroño, Spain. These tournaments represent the fourth and fifth tiers of the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
WThe 2017 Spanish Athletics Championships was the 97th edition of the national championship in outdoor track and field for Spain. It was held on 22 and 23 July at the Estadio Joan Serrahima in Barcelona. It served as the selection meeting for Spain at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics.
WThe 2017 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship Division I Group A, Group B and Group B Qualification were three international under-18 women's ice hockey tournaments run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The tournaments made up the second, third and fourth levels of competition at the 2017 IIHF World Women's U18 Championships respectively. The Division I Group A tournament took place between 8 January and 14 January 2017 in Budapest, Hungary. The tournament was won by Germany who gained promotion to the Championship Division for 2018 while France finished last and was relegated to the Division I Group B competition. The Division I Group B tournament took place between 8 January and 14 January 2017 in Katowice, Poland. Italy won the tournament and gained promotion to Division I Group A while Kazakhstan was relegated to Division I Group B Qualification after finishing in last place. The Division I Group B Qualification tournament was held in San Sebastián, Spain from 26 January to 29 January 2017. The tournament was won by Australia who gained promotion to Division I Group B for 2018.
WSpain competed at the Summer Deaflympics for the twelfth time since making its debut in 1957. Spain sent a delegation consisting of 18 competitors for the multi-sport event. 18 competitors competed in 4 different sports namely; cycling, bowling, Athletics and swimming.
WSpain is scheduled to compete at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary from 14 July to 30 July.
WSpain competed at the 2017 World Games in Wroclaw, Poland, from July 20, 2017 to July, 30 2017.
WThe 2017 European Throwing Cup was held on 11 and 13 March at the Gran Canaria Sport Complex "Martín Freire" in Las Palmas, Spain. It was the seventeenth edition of the athletics competition for throwing events and was jointly organised by the European Athletic Association. The competition featured men's and women's contests in shot put, discus throw, javelin throw and hammer throw. In addition to the senior competitions, there were also under-23 events for younger athletes.
WSpain will compete at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics in London, United Kingdom, 4–13 August 2017.
