
Blanca Bay is a bay of the Argentine Sea located in the transition between Pampas and Patagonia. This bay is a deep and narrow sea inlet on the continent. It is located in the southwest of the province of Buenos Aires, in the center-east of Argentina. Its name gave its own name to the most important city near its banks, the city of Bahía Blanca.

Cerro Tres Picos is the highest point of the Sierra de la Ventana mountain range in the province of Buenos Aires. As such, it is also the highest point in Buenos Aires province, as well as in the pampas region.

The Cerro Azul Formation, in the Buenos Aires Province also described as Epecuén Formation, is a geological formation of Late Miocene age in the Colorado Basin of the Buenos Aires and La Pampa Provinces in northeastern Argentina.

Mar Chiquita is a coastal lagoon in the southeast province of Buenos Aires in eastern Argentina. It is located by the Atlantic coast, 30 km north of Mar del Plata.

Martín García Island is an island in the Río de la Plata. The island is in Uruguayan waters but in 1973 Uruguay and Argentina reached an agreement establishing Martín García as Argentine territory and a nature reserve. The island of 1.84 km2 (0.71 sq mi) has a permanent population of about 150 people, and falls within the jurisdiction of Buenos Aires Province. The island is accessible by air through Martín García Island Airport.

The Pampas are fertile South American lowlands that cover more than 1,200,000 square kilometres (460,000 sq mi) and include the Argentine provinces of Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos, and Córdoba; all of Uruguay; and Brazil's southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. The vast plains are a natural region, interrupted only by the low Ventana and Tandil hills, near Bahía Blanca and Tandil (Argentina), with a height of 1,300 m (4,265 ft) and 500 m (1,640 ft), respectively.
Punta Mogotes is an open beach area and an adjacent neighbourhood located in Mar del Plata, Argentina, some three kilometres (2 mi) south-west of the city's port. The coastline was largely high dunes and a somewhat wild landscape until 1980, when a large compound of resort facilities and paved roads was built right along the beach.

Samborombón Bay is a bay on the coast of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Located at the Río de la Plata's mouth on the Argentine Sea, it begins about 160 kilometres (99 mi) southeast of Buenos Aires and is about 135 kilometres (84 mi) wide.

Sierra de los Padres is a string of rocky hills and ridges about 14 miles west of Mar del Plata. They are part of the Tandilia's mountain range, actually a series of low hills extended from the central Buenos Aires Province to Cabo Corrientes, a cape on the shores of Mar del Plata. These peaks are barely 270 mt high, surrounded by farms in the lower lands and by an exclusive neighborhood built on their slopes. Most local landscapes have panoramic views of surrounding hills. Recreational activities include trekking, PPC, and a large Golf link. There is an annual trekking and climbing event organized by the "Club Andino Mar del Plata", with more that 300 climbers attending each October.

The Sierra de la Ventana is a mountain range in Buenos Aires Province, and one of the only two located within the Pampas ecosystem.
