
Abadan Island is an island in Iran. It is the site of the city of Abadan. The island hosted Anglo-Iranian Oil Company's Abadan Refinery, around which Mohammad Mossadegh's nationalization movement was centered.

Abu Musa is a 12.8-square-kilometre (4.9 sq mi) island in the eastern Persian Gulf near the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz. Due to the depth of sea, oil tankers and big ships have to pass between Abu Musa and Greater and Lesser Tunbs; this makes these islands some of the most strategic points in the Persian Gulf. The island is administered by Iran as part of its province of Hormozgan, but is also claimed by the United Arab Emirates as a territory of the emirate of Sharjah.

Faror / Farvar Island is an island of Hormozgan Province in Iran. It is located 36 miles from the city of Abu Moussa and 141 miles from Bandar Abbas. The island is currently uninhabited save from a few government officials that reside there. Greater Farvar Island is situated in one of the world's earthquake belts. The remains of ruined buildings and water wells on the island testify to the presence of some settlements in the past. The island also contains a vast deposit of iron which is estimated to be at approximately 15,000 tons.

Farsi Island is a tiny, barren Iranian island in the Persian Gulf. There is an IRGC Navy base on this island. The island has an area of about 0.25 km2 (0.10 sq mi) and is restricted from the public. The center of Farsi Island is located at latitude 27° 59' 36" N and longitude 50° 10' 22" E. Its maximum elevation is 4 metres (13 ft). The word Farsi means "Persian".

Greater Tunb and Lesser Tunb are two small islands in the eastern Persian Gulf, close to the Strait of Hormuz. They lie at 26°15′N 55°16′E and 26°14′N 55°08′E respectively, some 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from each other and 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of the Iranian island of Qeshm. The islands are administered by Iran as part of its Hormozgan Province, but are also claimed by the United Arab Emirates as a territory of the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah.

Hendurabi or Hendorabi is an Iranian island in the Persian Gulf. Its name is derived from the Persian word اندرآبی Andar-abi meaning "Inside the waters". It is located in Hormozgan Province, to the west of Kish Island and due south of Bastak. Administratively, the island is in Kish Rural District, Kish District, Bandar Lengeh County, Hormozgan Province, Iran.

Hengam Island, is an Iranian island located south of Qeshm Island, Iran, in the Persian Gulf. It is 36.6 kilometres wide and shaped like a truncated cone. The island is generally calcareous and generally low-lying. The highest point on the island is Nakas Mountain with an altitude of about 106 metres. The distance between Hengam Island and Qeshm Island is about 2 kilometres

Hormuz Island, also spelled Hormoz, is an Iranian island in the Persian Gulf. Located in the Strait of Hormuz, 8 kilometres (5 mi) off the Iranian coast, the island is part of Hormozgan Province. Reddish ochre on the island and its beaches, called Golak by natives, has been exploited for artistic and culinary purposes and also attracts tourists. Degradation due to overuse of the ochre has resulted in actions by the Department of Environment to protect it.

Khark Island is a continental island in the Persian Gulf belonging to Iran. The island is located 25 km (16 mi) off the coast of Iran and 483 km (300 mi) northwest of the Strait of Hormuz. Administered by the adjacent coastal Bushehr Province, Khark Island provides a sea port for the export of oil and extends Iranian territorial sea claims into the Persian Gulf oil fields. Located on Khark Island is Khark, the only city in the Khark District.

Kish is a 91.5-square-kilometre (35.3 sq mi) resort island in Bandar Lengeh County, Hormozgān Province off the southern coast of Iran in the Persian Gulf. Owing to its free trade zone status, the island is touted as a consumer's paradise, with numerous malls, shopping centres, tourist attractions, and resort hotels. It has an estimated population of almost 40,000 residents and about 1 million visitors annually.

Larak Island is an island off the coast of Iran in the Persian Gulf, which has been one of Iran's major oil export points since 1987. The narrowest part of the Strait of Hormuz at distance of 24 miles (39 km) lies between the island and the Omani-owned Quoin Island.

Lavan Island (Persian: جزیرهٔ لاوان) (traditionally known as hidden pearl island or Sheikh Shoeyb island ) is an Iranian island in the Persian Gulf. It has an area of 78 square kilometres (30 sq mi). The island has one of the four major terminals for export of crude oil in Iran alongside Kharg island. Lavan island sits on top of Lavan gas field, containing 9.5 trillion cubic feet (2.7×1011 cubic metres) of gas. Administratively, the island forms part of the Lavan Rural District in Kish District, Bandar Lengeh County, Hormozgan Province. The island is served by Lavan Airport.

Minoo Island is an Iranian island in the Khuzestan province, in southwestern Iran and is close to the city of Abadan. The city of Minushahr is on the island. The island is comprehended entirely by the Minu District of Khorramshahr County.

Ommolkorm Island is one of the Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf. This Island has an area of some 10–12 km2. It is surrounded by 14 km of sandy beaches suitable for marine turtle nesting although the southern and eastern parts are more heavily used, especially a stretch of 6–700 meters on the east coast used by hawksbill turtles. The island is located southeast of Bushehr.

Qeshm is an arrow-shaped Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz, separated from the mainland by the Clarence Strait/Khuran in the Persian Gulf. It is the largest island in Iran.

Shahi Island which literally translate to Royal Island is the largest island in Urmia Lake, East Azerbaijan Province in Iran. Shahi Island is 23,000 hectares and is located in eastern part of the lake. The island is the only inhabited island in Lake Urmia, with seven villages: Burachalu, Ghebchagh, Teymurlu, and Bahramabad. These villages were located on the shores of the island. However the water level in the lake has been falling, and the "island" is now connected to the mainland from its eastern side and it forms a peninsula.

Jazireh-ye Shif is a village and island in Howmeh Rural District, in the Central District of Bushehr County, Bushehr Province, Iran. At the 2011 census, its population was 4200, in 521 families.
