Agia Dynati is the second highest Greek mountain of Cefalonia, after Mount Ainos (Mavrovouno). It is also the third highest mountain of the Ionian Islands after Ainos and Elati (Lefkada). Between the mountain's peaks are small tablelands, with one larger one named Falari. It is believed that Falari produces the best feta cheese in Greece.

Melissani Cave or Melissani Lake, also Melisani is a cave located on the island of Kefalonia, northwest of Sami, about 5 km (3.1 mi) Southeast of Agia Effimia, Northeast of Argostoli and Northwest of Poros. The Ionian Sea lies to the east with the Strait of Ithaca. Forests surround the cave and the mountain slope is to the west. Near the cave is the entry to the cave with parking lots and is passed almost in the middle of the main road linking Sami and Agia Efimia especially to the northern part of the island. Some say the water is so clear the boats look like they are floating on air.
Mount Aenos or Ainos is the tallest mountain in the Ioanian island of Cephalonia, Greece, with an elevation of 1,628 metres (5,341 ft). Its bedrock is dominantly Cretaceous-era dolomite and limestone.

The total length is approximately 10 km long and is approximately 10 km wide. It stretches from Cape Kakata to Asos from east to west and from Zola to the Asos Peninsula to the north. The gulf has a mountainous coast. There are no ferry routes in this gulf.

Paliki is a peninsula and a former municipality on the island of Kefalonia, Ionian Islands, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kefalonia, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 119.341 km2. The name comes from the ancient town of Pale/Pali, which was north of Lixouri and is now an archaeological site. The peninsula is the westernmost part of Kefalonia. The seat of the municipality was the town Lixouri (3.752).

The Strait of Ithaca is a strait separating the islands of Kefalonia to the west and Ithaca to the east. The Strait is approximately 20 km long and 4 to 6 km wide. It runs from south to north, starting at Cape Dichalia and Cape Agios Andreas and up to Cape Viotis and Cape Exogi. The boating route linking the ports of Sami and Fiskardo lies in this strait. The Strait connects to the Ionian Sea on both sides. The Agia Effimia and Sami bays lie to the southwest.

Tsakalonisi is a small Greek island in the Ionian Sea, part of the Echinades archipelago. As of 2011, it had no resident population. It is situated 0.3 km west of Provati, 0.8 km southwest of Karlonisi, 1 km southeast of Drakonera, 4 km off the coast of Aetolia-Acarnania and 27 km east of Ithaca. It is administered by the municipality of Cephalonia.

Vatsa Bay (Vazza) is a bay on the southern tip of Paliki peninsula of Kefalonia, Greece. The area lies far from the main towns and villages in Kefalonia and preserves a rural charm for visitors. There is no public transport, and as a result access has to be by car.

Xi Beach is situated in the south of the Paliki peninsula of Kefalonia, Greece and part of the district Mantzavinata near the town Lixouri.
