
Achit Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Uvs Aimag, Mongolia, in the west of the country. At an elevation of 1,435 m above sea level it covers an area of 290 km². It is 28 km long, 16 km wide, and 10 m deep. The coast is covered with steppes, mostly hilly but swampy on the northwest and northeast. Several rivers flow into the lake.

Gegeen Lake, also known as Gegeen Nuur, is a lake in Mongolia. The lake lays within the Khangai Mountains and feeds the Zavkhan River. Taishir Hydro Power Station lays at the head of the lake; the station and accompanying dam greatly add to the size of the lake.

Sangiin Dalai Lake is a salt water lake in northern Mongolia, located at the border between the Tsagaan-Uul, Shine-Ider, and Bürentogtokh sums of Khövsgöl aimag, and the Ikh-Uul sum of Zavkhan aimag. It is surrounded by mountains, hills, and rocks. The 8.4 Mw Bolnai earthquake occurred nearby on July 23, 1905.

Telmen Lake is a saltwater lake in Zavkhan, Mongolia. Three islands are located in the lake, which is a gathering point for migratory birds. The water salinity is 6.49-7.61‰.

Tolbo Lake is a freshwater lake in Mongolia. The lake is located about 50 kilometres (30 mi) south of Ölgii, on the main road between Ölgii and Khovd.

Ulaan Lake was a lake in the districts of Mandal-Ovoo and Bulgan, in Ömnögovi Province, Mongolia. It completely dried up in 1995.

Üüreg Lake is a saline lake in an endorheic basin in western Mongolia, north-west of the Great Lakes Hollow, near the western edge of the Uvs Nuur basin. The Tsagaan river gorge Tsagaan Shuvuut Uul) lies on the west side of the lake.
Uvs Lake is a highly saline lake in an endorheic basin - Uvs Nuur Basin in Mongolia with a small part in Russia. It is the largest lake in Mongolia by surface area, covering 3,350 km² at 759 m above sea level. The northeastern tip of the lake is situated in the Tuva Republic of the Russian Federation. The largest settlement near the lake is Ulaangom. This shallow and very saline body of water is a remainder of a huge saline sea which covered a much larger area several thousand years ago.
