The list of drainage basins by area identifies basins, sorted by area, which drain to oceans, mediterranean seas, rivers, lakes and other water bodies. All basins larger than 400,000 km2 (150,000 sq mi) are included as well as selected smaller basins. It includes drainage basins which do not flow to the ocean. It includes oceanic sea drainage basins which have hydrologically coherent areas.

This list of rivers of the Americas by coastline includes the major rivers of the Americas arranged according to their positions along the ocean coastlines:Arctic Ocean coast from Cape Prince of Wales east to Cape Chidley; Atlantic Ocean coast from Cape Chidley south to Cape Virgins; Pacific Ocean coast from Cape Prince of Wales south to Cape Virgins; Inland basins, by basin from north to south.
This list of Hudson Bay rivers includes the principal rivers draining into the Hudson, James and Ungava bays of the Arctic Ocean. The total surface area of the Hudson Bay watershed is about 3,861,400 square kilometres (1,490,900 sq mi), with a mean discharge of about 30,900 m3/s (1,090,000 cu ft/s). The drainage basin includes parts of five Canadian provinces, territories and four American states. The two principal waterways are the La Grande Rivière, in Québec, and the Nelson River in Manitoba, each with an average waterflow of over 3,000 m3/s (110,000 cu ft/s).
