Big Huge Games is a video game developer located in Timonium, Maryland since 2000, known first for real-time strategy games such as Rise of Nations, later for the console RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and more recently for mobile games such as DomiNations and Arcane Showdown. Throughout most of its history the company has been associated with its best-known founder, Brian Reynolds, whose prior career already included work as lead designer of Civilization II and Alpha Centauri, and co-founder of Firaxis Games. The studio's ownership has changed hands several times over the years, and it became briefly defunct in May 2012, but it was revived by Reynolds along with several original alumni and new partners. The company is presently owned by Nexon, and actively runs its mobile titles DomiNations and Arcane Showdown, while continuing to develop new games.

Founded in April 2014 by Cliff Bleszinski and Arjan Brussee, formerly of Epic Games, the company developed LawBreakers (2017) and Radical Heights (2018), both of which failed commercially, effectively leading the developer to shut down in May 2018.

The studio was set up by Deep Silver on 30 July 2014 to take over the development of Homefront: The Revolution from Crytek UK, which was closed later that same day, transferring all of its employees to Dambuster Studios.

All three founders previously worked together at Fragment Production, where Stewart served as Marketing Director. Dreamloop currently employs 8 people, and is led by its co-founders. In late 2015 Dreamloop began actively campaigning to reform Finnish laws surrounding Crowdfunding. In 2015 Dreamloop launched a Kickstarter campaign to finance production of their upcoming game Challengers of Khalea, but funding was unsuccessful.

Gunfire Games, LLC is an American video game developer based in Austin, Texas. The studio was founded by David Adams in July 2014, bringing with him the core team of Crytek USA just prior to that studio's closure. The company was acquired by THQ Nordic in August 2019.

Hangar 13 is an American video game developer based in Novato, California, in the area of the former Hamilton Air Force Base. Established with Haden Blackman in December 2014 as a division of 2K, the company's debut game was Mafia III, released in October 2016. In 2017, 2K Czech was merged into Hangar 13, wherefore the studio received two additional studios in Brno and Prague; another studio was opened in Brighton in 2018.

The company was founded in October 2014 by Doug Kennedy, Jesse Rapczak, Jeremy Stieglitz, and Susan Browning Stieglitz. Stieglitz had previously left his position at Trendy Entertainment in August 2014 under a one-year non-compete agreement. The company sued him and Studio Wildcard in December 2015 for breach of contract, among other allegations, and the parties settled in April 2016. Studio Wildcard's debut game, Ark: Survival Evolved, was released in August 2017. A sequel, Ark II, was announced in December 2020.

Vavel's CEO, John Balestrieri, has over twenty years of technology management, gaming, advertising and entertainment experience. He is best known for his work on the Kasparov versus Deep Blue, as well as being the former worldwide CTO of Ogilvy & Mather, one of the largest and most prestigious advertising agencies in the world. As well as leading technology efforts at Kabam and VP Engineering at Scopely.
