
Annunciation is a 1575–1576 oil on canvas painting of the Annunciation by El Greco, one of the earliest paintings by the artist. It is now part of the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza collection in Madrid.

Charing Cross Bridge is a series of oil paintings by French artist Claude Monet. The paintings depict a misty, impressionist Charing Cross Bridge in London, England. Monet worked on the series from 1899 to 1905, totaling 37 paintings of the bridge.

Christ among the Doctors is an oil painting by Albrecht Dürer, dating to 1506, now in the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid, Spain. The work dates to Dürer's sojourn in Venice, and was executed hastily while he was working at the Feast of the Rosary altarpiece.

Christus Dolens or Christ as the Man of Sorrows is a painting in tempera on panel of c. 1490 by Bramantino in the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, which acquired it in 1937 from Countess Teresa Soranza-Mocenigo. A similar work by Bramantino is in the Museo della Certosa in Pavia.

The Council Chamber in Amsterdam Town Hall is an oil on canvas painting by the Dutch painter Pieter de Hooch. It is an example of Dutch Golden Age painting and is now in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.

Crucifixion is a c.1457-1458 tempera on panel painting by Paolo Uccello, now in the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid. Its dating is debated - some date it to the same period in the Cappella dell'Assunta (1435) due to the similarities between the pose of the Virgin Mary in Crucifixion and the woman climbing the stairs in the chapel fresco of The Birth of the Virgin, whilst others date it to a later period after his return to Padua, where he was influenced by the work of Donatello.

Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee Around a Pomegranate a Second Before Awakening is a surrealist painting by Salvador Dalí. A shorter alternate title for the painting is Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee. It was painted in 1944, and the woman in the painting, dreaming, is said to represent his wife, Gala. The painting is currently in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, in Madrid.

Family Group in a Landscape is a painting by the Dutch Golden Age painter Frans Hals, painted in circa 1648 and now in the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid.

Landscape with Venus and Adonis is an oil on canvas painting by Flemish painter Tobias Verhaecht. The work was probably painted in the 1600s, and is now in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid.

Lot and His Daughters is a c.1621–1623 painting of Lot and his daughters by Orazio Gentileschi, now in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid.
Louis d'Orléans Showing Off His Mistress is an 1825–1826 painting produced by the French artist Eugène Delacroix, now in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid. It shows Louis I, Duke of Orléans, his chamberlain Albert Le Flamenc and Mariette d'Enghien, who was both Le Flamenc's wife and the Duke's mistress. It draws on an episode recounted in both Prosper de Barante's Histoire des ducs de Bourgogne de la maison de Valois and Brantôme's Vie des dames galantes. It shows strong influence from Rubens and Titian as well as from Richard Parkes Bonington, a British artist with whom he actively swapped ideas and sketches between 1825 and 1828.

The Pietà is a painting by José de Ribera, "The Españoleto", painted, signed and dated in 1633.

Portrait of a Fat Man are names given to two near-identical oil on panel paintings attributed to the Early Netherlandish artist Robert Campin. Both versions are dated c. 1425, and are in the Gemäldegalerie, Berlin and Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid.

Portrait of a Young Man as Saint Sebastian is an oil painting on panel of c. 1533 by Bronzino in the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid. It entered that museum's collection in 1984 from a private collection in Rieti. The work has been related to the very similar figure of Saint Matthew from the four tondi in the Capponi Chapel, on which Bronzino collaborated with Pontormo, and to a study for it which is now in the Uffizi.

The Portrait of Giovanna Tornabuoni is a painting by the Italian Renaissance painter Domenico Ghirlandaio, executed in 1488 and located in the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid. The portrait was commissioned by Lorenzo Tornabuoni after his wife's death in 1488 and includes many symbolic details.

Nunc Dimittis or Sacred Conversation is a 1505–1510 oil on panel painting by Giovanni Bellini. It measures 62 cm by 83 cm and is now in the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid. It belongs to the sacra conversazione genre and shows Anna and Simeon with the Madonna and Child.

Saint Catherine of Alexandria is an oil painting by the Italian Baroque master Caravaggio, painted from 1598-1599. It is part of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection of Madrid.

The See-Saw is a painting by French Rococo artist Jean-Honoré Fragonard, created sometime around 1750 to 1752 during the artist's early career. It is currently in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid. The painting forms a pair with another Fragonard work entitled Blind Man's Bluff.

Baigneuses: Deux nus dans un paysage exotique is an oil painting created circa 1905 by the French artist and theorist Jean Metzinger (1883–1956). Two Nudes in an Exotic Landscape is a Proto-Cubist work executed in a highly personal Divisionist style during the height of the Fauve period. The painting is now in the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Spain.

The Virgin and Child Enthroned is a small oil-on-oak panel painting dated c. 1433, usually attributed to the Early Netherlandish artist Rogier van der Weyden. It is closely related to his Madonna Standing, completed during the same period. The panel is filled with Christian iconography, including representations of prophets, the Annunciation, Christ's infancy and resurrection, and Mary's Coronation. It is generally accepted as the earliest extant work by van der Weyden, one of three works attributed to him of the Virgin and Child enclosed in a niche on an exterior wall of a Gothic church. The panel is housed in the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid.

Water Mill at Gennep is the subject and title of three oil paintings and a watercolor created in 1884 by Vincent van Gogh. The Watermill at Gennep is situated in Gennep, today a neighbourhood of Eindhoven.

Young Knight in a Landscape, or Portrait of a Knight, is a painting by the Italian Renaissance artist Vittore Carpaccio, now in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection in Madrid. Dated 1510, this is the earliest full-length portrait in Western painting—on the assumption that it is a portrait, as seems likely. It is characteristic of Carpaccio that apart from this important innovation, the style of the work seems in other respects to look back to the previous century. From some date until the 20th century the painting had been given the monogram of Albrecht Dürer, and Carpaccio's signature overpainted. The realism and detail of Carpaccio does in fact show Northern influence.
