All Together (professional wrestling)

All Together was a series of two professional wrestling events organized together by Japan's three biggest promotions; All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Pro Wrestling Noah, in response to the March 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. The first event was held in Tokyo on August 27, 2011, and the second in Sendai on February 19, 2012. All proceeds from the events were donated to Japanese Red Cross. The events featured no storylines or championship matches, instead they were booked as "supercards", putting together combinations of wrestlers from the three promotions that fans would normally not see.

The Arena Naucalpan 35th Anniversary Show was an annual professional wrestling major event produced by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on December 20, 2012 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The show celebrated the 35th Anniversary of the construction of Arena Naucalpann, IWRG's main venue. The main event was a five team steel cage match contested under elimination rules. The teams were La Familia de Tijuana, Los Hermanos Dinamita, Jr. and the father/son duos of Dr. Wagner, Jr. and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner, Jr., El Canek and El Canek, Jr. and Los Piratas. Damian 666 was originally slated to team with his son Bestia 666, but was replaced by X-Fly. The match was contested under escape rules, which meant that the last team member in the ring would be the loser. Dr. Wagner, Jr. as well as Los Infierno Rockers and Los Psycho Circus who worked on the under card all appeared through IWRG's working relationship with fellow Mexican wrestling promotion AAA. The undercard also saw the continuation of the storyline feud between Fuerza Guerrera and Black Terry as well as a Torneo cibernetico elimination match between a team representing IWRG's wrestling school and a team representing Fuerza Guerrera's school Gimnasio Konkreto.

Chikarasaurus Rex: How to Hatch a Dinosaur was a professional wrestling internet pay-per-view (iPPV) event produced by the Chikara promotion, that took place on June 2, 2012 at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and aired live on GoFightLive, with a pre-show airing live on Ustream. The event marked Chikara's second pay-per-view, following previous November's High Noon. This was the third year in which Chikara promoted a summer event under the Chikarasaurus Rex banner, with the original Chikarasaurus Rex: King of Show having taken place July 25, 2010, and the Chikarasaurus Rex: King of Sequel weekend on July 30 and 31, 2011. The event was released on DVD and downloadable MP4 by Smart Mark Video on June 4, 2012.

The Anniversary show is normally CMLL's biggest show of the year, their Super Bowl event. The CMLL Anniversary Show series is the longest-running annual professional wrestling show, starting in 1934.

CMLL Super Viernes is professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre's (CMLL) Friday night wrestling show that takes place in Arena México every week unless a Pay-Per-View or a major wrestling event is scheduled to take place on that night instead. CMLL began holding their weekly Friday night "Super Viernes" shows as far back as 1938, with 2012 being no exception. Some of the matches from Super Viernes are taped for CMLL's weekly shows that air in Mexico the week following the Super Viernes show. The Super Viernes show was replaced by four major CMLL events in 20102, Homenaje a Dos Leyendas, Infierno en en Ring, the CMLL 79th Anniversary Show and Sin Piedad. The July 27, 2012 Super Viernes was one of only few Friday night shows to ever be cancelled, on this occasion due to a demonstration in the streets of Mexico City near Arena México.

At times some of the team members were part of a pre-existing scripted feuds or storylines with each other.

The 2012 En Busca de un Ídolo was a professional wrestling tournament held by Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and was the first tournament in what would become an annual tournament in CMLL. The purpose of the first tournament was to identify which of the 8 "Rookies" in the tournament would move up the ranks of the promotion. The tournament consisted of two rounds, first a round-robin tournament group round, with the top four point earners competing in an elimination tournament. Wrestlers could earn points in three ways, match results, judges points and points from an online poll available on the 'En Busca de un Ídolo website. The tournament ran from April 27 until May 25, 2012 and saw Titán win the tournament, partially due to a high number of fan votes.

The Under card featured two wrestlers from Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion (AAA), El Texano, Jr. and Toscano, who appeared due to IWRG's working relationship with AAA.

The Dos Leyendas show took place on March 2, 2012 in CMLL's main venue, Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico. The event was to honor and remember CMLL founder Salvador Lutteroth, who died in March 1987. Starting in 1999 CMLL honored not just their founder during the show, but also a second lucha libre legend, making it their version of a Hall of Fame event. For the 2012 show CMLL commemorated the life and career of wrestler Bobby Bonales, a major CMLL wrestler from the 1950s and former holder of the NWA World Welterweight Championship.. This was the 14th March show held under the Homenaje a Dos Leyendas name, having previously been known as Homenaje a Salvador Lutteroth from 1996 to 1998.

The 2012 Infierno en el Ring replaced CMLL's regularly scheduled Friday night Super Viernes show. The 2012 Infierno en el Ring was the fourth show under that name, the 14th time CMLL have promoted an Infierno en el Ring cage match and the first time it featured women competing in the main event. The main event of the show was the eponymous Infierno en el Ring match that CMLL traditionally has traditionally held approximately once a year and which has headlined its own specific show since 2008. The Infierno en el Ring match is a multi-person Steel Cage match contested under Lucha de Apuestas, or bet match, rules which means that the loser of the match would be forced to unmask or have their hair shaved off per Lucha Libre traditions. At the 2012 event 10 women participated, risking either their mask, or their hair.

The focal point of the event was the eponymous Ruleta de la Muerte eight-man tournament where all participants put their wrestling mask or hair on the line. The Ruleta de la Muerte tournament is a Lucha libre stable, a tournament which unlike traditional tournaments it is the loser that advances in the tournament, advancing to the final that is contested under Luchas de Apuestas or bet rules.

It was the first event under the King of Pro-Wrestling name.

The main event of the show was the eponymous Gran Cruzada tournament, a 30-man Battle Royal with the winner being named the number one contender for the IWRG Rey del Ring Championship and would receive a match against Rey del Ring Champion Oficial Factor at a later date. The Gran Cruzada was won by Hijo de Pirata Morgan, lastly eliminating El Hijo de L.A. Park to win it. The victory played off the fact that Hijo de Pirata Morgan was the last man eliminated in the 2012 Rey del Ring tournament by Oficial Factor and had been developing a slowly escalating storyline between the two.

Founded in 2012 by businessman Richard Negrín with the cooperation of established wrestling figures such as Hugo Savinovich, the company developed a global scope, establishing alliances with over a dozen international promotions and holding shows throughout the Americas. In line with the traditional model of professional wrestling, LLW's shows do not feature legitimate sporting contests. Instead, its programs feature storyline-driven combat sport matches with predetermined outcomes and acrobatic and grappling maneuvers that are worked, which are publicly promoted as legitimate bouts to accentuate the entertainment.

El Legado Final (2012) was an annual professional wrestling major event produced by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on June 24, 2012 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The main event of the show was the Torneo de Legado Final, a 12-man Torneo cibernetico. The match saw six teams compete, five of which we scheduled to be father/son teams and one a set of second-generation wrestlers. Ultraman was originally supposed to team with his son, Ultraman, Jr. but his son was unable to compete and had to be replaced with Danny Casas, a third-generation wrestler from the Casas wrestling family. The other teams were Bestia 666 and Damian 666, El Hijo del Pantera and El Pantera, Hijo de Pirata Morgan and Pirata Morgan, Máscara Sagrada and Máscara Sagrada, Jr.. The team of Los Hermanos Dinamita, Jr. is promoted as the sons of Cien Caras and Máscara Año 2000, but it has been verified that Cien Caras, Jr. is not related, but instead someone using the ring character with permission. The Legado Final match rules dictated that the father of each team would compete in a match where there were two wrestlers in the ring and the remaining four were on the outside to be tagged in during the match. When someone was eliminated, by pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out the son would enter the match. The last person remaining in the match after all 10 or 11 wrestlers were eliminated would be declared the victor along with his team mate.

The event took place on February 12, 2012, in Osaka, Osaka, at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium. The event featured eight matches, four of which were contested for championships. The event was the first major event held by NJPW after the promotion had been sold to Bushiroad. It was the third event under the New Beginning name.

The Pequeño Reyes del Aire Tournament is an annual wrestling tournament promoted by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and has been held since 2007, holding two tournaments in 2012, and one every other year. The tournament includes a varying number of wrestlers, competing in a Torneo cibernetico match, essentially a multi-man elimination match with the last competitor remaining is declared that year's Pequeño Rey del Aire and is given a trophy. The match is based on CMLL's Reyes del Aire tournament which has an identical purpose, format and award. The winner is not normally awarded with a match for the CMLL World Mini-Estrella Championship or the Mexican National Lightweight Championship, the two Mini-Estrellas championships that CMLL promotes, as a direct result of their tournament victory but has as times been used to build but either a championship match or storylines between rival wrestlers.

The main event of the match was a 10-man elimination match featuring 10 "Juniors" with the last surviving participant becoming the #1 contender for the IWRG Junior de Juniors Championship held by Trauma I at the time. The ten competitors were Bestia 666, Carta Brava, Jr., El Canek, Jr., Apolo Estrada, Jr., Halcón 78, Jr., El Hijo de L.A. Park, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner, Jr., Máscara Sagrada, Jr. and Ultraman, Jr.. The main event came down to just Bestia 666 and Hijo de Pirata Morgan left in the ring. During the match the referee was knocked down, which allowed La Familia de Tijuana remembers Damian 666, Halloween, Super Nova and Zumbi to come to the ring to attack Hijo de Pirata Morgan, allowing Bestia 666 to pin his opponents only moments later.

The main event was the Eponymous IWRG Rey del Ring tournament, the tenth annual version of the tournament, IWRG's version of World Wrestling Entertainment's Royal Rumble event. 30 men competed in the Rey del Ring, which was won by Oficial Factor when he eliminated Hijo del Pirata Morgan to claim the victory as well as the Rey del Ring Championship belt.

Sin Piedad (2012) was an annual professional wrestling major event produced by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), which took place on December 14, 2012 in Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico and replaced CMLL's regular Friday night show Super Viernes. The 2012 Sin Piedad was the eleventh event under that name that CMLL has promoted their last major show of the year, always held in December. The main event of the show was the finals of the 2012 2012 La Copa Junior Tournament between La Sombra and Tama Tonga, both second-generation wrestlers. The show included five additional matches and would be the first major CMLL show promoted in Mexico since, the CMLL 67th Anniversary Show on September 29, 2000, to not feature a Lucha de Apuestas or bet match at all.

The Great American Bash is a professional wrestling event produced by WWE, a professional wrestling promotion based in Connecticut. Created by Dusty Rhodes, the event was established in 1985 and was originally produced by the National Wrestling Alliance's (NWA) Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) and was broadcast on closed-circuit television. In 1988, it began broadcasting on pay-per-view (PPV), and later that same year, JCP was rebranded as World Championship Wrestling (WCW), which seceded from the NWA in January 1991. In March 2001, the then-World Wrestling Federation (WWF) purchased WCW. In May 2002, the WWF was renamed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and the promotion revived The Great American Bash as their own annual PPV in 2004. It was held exclusively for WWE's SmackDown brand from 2004 to 2006 before brand-exclusive PPVs were discontinued in April 2007.

The Torneo Gran Alternativa (2012) was the 2012 version of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre's (CMLL) Torneo Gran Alternativa, a tournament they had held almost every year since 1994. The 2012 version was the eighteenth Torneo Gran Alternativa and was held in March and April 2012. The tournament consisted of 16 tag teams, composed of a Novato (Rookie) and a veteran wrestler, who may not normally team up.

Torneo Sangre Nueva is a professional wrestling tournament promoted by the Mexican lucha libre promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), first held in 2012. The tournament focuses primarily on younger wrestlers or wrestlers who work in the lower ranks of the promotion, generally the first or second match of the show, as a way to highlight or promote a wrestler up to a higher level of competition. A total of 27 individuals have competed in the two Sangre Nueva tournaments held as of 2014 with nine competitors participating in both tournaments held so far: Bobby Zavala, Camaleón, El Cholo, Disturbio, Hombre Bala Jr., Robin, Soberano Jr., Stigma and Super Halcón Jr.. Soberano Jr. is both the youngest competitor over-all and the youngest tournament winner as well, while Cholo is the oldest at the time of his second tournament participation. Soberano Jr. was the lightest competitor and champion at 75 kg (165 lb) while Bronco, at 103 kg (227 lb), was the heaviest of any tournament competitor so far.

Triplemanía XX was a professional wrestling event scripted and produced by the AAA promotion, which took place on August 5, 2012, at Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico. The event was the twentieth annual Triplemanía, which is AAA's biggest show of the year, and marked AAA's debut in the new Arena Ciudad de México. The event was headlined by a match between Dr. Wagner Jr. and Máscara Año 2000 Jr., where the loser was forced to unmask himself. In the semi-main event, El Mesías defended the AAA Mega Championship against the 2012 Rey de Reyes, El Hijo del Perro Aguayo. The event also featured Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) performer Kurt Angle's AAA debut and an induction into the AAA Hall of Fame. This event marked the first time in four years that a Triplemanía was not broadcast live on pay-per-view. Instead, the event would be broadcast in three parts on AAA's official website, starting August 19. The event was attended by 21,000 people, the largest crowd for a professional wrestling event in Mexico in almost five years.

Under the Hood was a professional wrestling internet pay-per-view (iPPV) event produced by the Chikara promotion, that took place on December 2, 2012 at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event marked Chikara's third iPPV, following November 2011's High Noon and June 2012's Chikarasaurus Rex: How to Hatch a Dinosaur. While the two previous iPPV's aired live through GoFightLive, Under the Hood instead aired through Smart Mark Video, Chikara's longtime DVD production and distribution partner. The event was headlined by Eddie Kingston defending the Chikara Grand Championship against the number one contender and 2012 Torneo Cibernetico winner Tim Donst. The event also saw The Young Bucks defending the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas against 1-2-3 Kid and Marty Jannetty and "Mr. Touchdown" Mark Angelosetti defending the Chikara Young Lions Cup against ACH, making Under the Hood the first ever Chikara event, where all three titles were defended. Other featured matches saw the culmination of two year-long storylines, with UltraMantis Black leading his Spectral Envoy stable to take on a team led by Delirious and a match where two teams, mixed of representatives of both Chikara and the villainous Gekido stable, battled each other. Under the Hood was Chikara's season eleven finale event. The event was attended by 525 fans and drew 1,025 buys online. The event was released on DVD and downloadable MP4 by Smart Mark Video on December 7, 2012.

Wrestle Kingdom VI in Tokyo Dome was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) promotion, which took place at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan on January 4, 2012. It was the 21st January 4 Tokyo Dome Show and the sixth held under the "Wrestle Kingdom" name. This was the final Wrestle Kingdom where a Roman numeral was used as part of the event's name. The event featured twelve matches, three of which were contested for championships. Wrestle Kingdom is traditionally NJPW's biggest event of the year and has been described as their equivalent to WWE's WrestleMania.

It was the ninth event under the Wrestling Dontaku name.

WWE Hall of Fame (2012) was the event which featured the introduction of the 13th class to the WWE Hall of Fame. The event was produced by WWE on March 31, 2012 from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. The event took place the same weekend as WrestleMania XXVIII. The event was hosted by Jerry Lawler. A condensed one-hour version of the ceremony aired on the USA Network the following Monday, before Raw. In March 2015 the ceremony was added to the WWE Network.
