It is the debut commercial project by Rich Brian after releasing a string of non-album singles since 2016, such as "Dat Stick". The album was primarily produced by Rich Brian, alongside Bkorn, Cubeatz, Frans Mernick, Austin Powerz, Rogét Chahayed and Wesley Singerman and features guest appearances from Offset, Joji, Niki and August 8.

Ballads 1 is the debut studio album by Japanese singer-songwriter Joji. It serves as a follow-up to In Tongues EP, his first project as Joji, and Pink Season, his only album released under the now-retired alter-ego Pink Guy. It was released on 26 October 2018 through 88rising and 12Tone Music. The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 as well as number one on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Five Stars is the second album by Chinese hip-hop group Higher Brothers, released on 22 February 2019 through 88rising and 12Tone Music. The album was announced on 8 February 2019 and features American rappers ScHoolboy Q, Soulja Boy and JID among others. It was their first album to be recorded in a professional studio. The artists have stated that the album's title comes from the five stars on the Chinese flag as well as high quality "five star" rapping.

Head in the Clouds is a compilation album by musical collective 88rising. It was released through 88rising and 12Tone Music on July 20, 2018. Guest appearances include Yung Bans, Yung Pinch, 03 Greedo, BlocBoy JB, Vory, Phum Viphurit, Playboi Carti, Famous Dex, Verbal, Goldlink and Harikiri.

Head in the Clouds II is the second compilation album by musical collective 88rising. It was released through 88rising and 12Tone Music on October 11, 2019. Guest appearances include Chungha, Phum Viphurit, Generations from Exile Tribe, GoldLink, Jackson Wang, Swae Lee, Major Lazer, Rhyme So, and Barney Bones.

In Tongues is the debut extended play by Joji. This EP was released on 3 November 2017, through 88rising and Empire. This project was also re-released as a deluxe version on 14 February 2018.

Moonchild is the debut studio album by Indonesian singer-songwriter NIKI. It was released on 10 September 2020 by 88rising and 12Tone Music.

Nectar is the second studio album by Japanese-Australian singer-songwriter Joji, released on 25 September 2020 via 88rising. It features the singles "Sanctuary", "Run", "Gimme Love" and "Daylight" with Diplo, as well as collaborations with Benee, Lil Yachty, Omar Apollo, Yves Tumor and Rei Brown.

Pink Season: The Prophecy is an extended play by YouTube personality Filthy Frank, under the alias Pink Guy. It was released on 24 May 2017 under the 88rising label and features remixes of songs from the album Pink Season. This would be the final release done by George Miller under the Pink Guy alias.

Querencia is the debut studio album by South Korean singer Chungha. It was released on February 15, 2021, under MNH Entertainment and 88rising. Originally set for a January 4 release, the album was delayed to February 15 after Chungha tested positive for COVID-19 on December 7, 2020, in order to focus on her recovery. It is the singer's first full-length album since her debut in 2017. The concept of the album lies in its title, "Querencia" which is a metaphysical concept in Spanish referring to a place where one can be one's true self.

The Sailor is the second studio album by Indonesian rapper Rich Brian. It was released on 26 July 2019, through 88rising and 12Tone Music and it served as the follow-up to his debut studio album Amen. The album was primarily produced by Bēkon and The Donuts, alongside Rich Brian with production contributions by Teddy Sinclair, among others and features guest appearances from RZA and Joji.
