It is a coming of age drama set in a small high-class lingerie design house called Emotion, which is based in Tokyo's Ginza district. High-Rise Invasion is a Japanese manga series written by Tsuina Miura and illustrated by Takahiro Oba. The series was serialized online in DeNA's Manga Box app from December 2013 to April 2019, with Kodansha compiling it into twenty-one tankōbon volumes. The manga is licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment. A sequel manga titled High-Rise Invasion Arrive was serialized in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket website and app from July 2019 to April 2021, with seven tankōbon volumes released. An original net animation (ONA) anime series adaptation by Zero-G streamed worldwide on Netflix in February 2021.

Honō no Tenkōsei is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kazuhiko Shimamoto. It was serialized in the Shogakukan manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1983 to 1985. Honō no Tenkōsei was adapted into a two-episode original video animation (OVA) anime series in 1991 by Gainax. A live-action series, titled Blazing Transfer Students, premiered on Netflix in 2017.

Japan Sinks is a disaster novel by Japanese writer Sakyo Komatsu, published in 1973. Komatsu took nine years to complete the work. It was published in two volumes, both released at the same time. The novel received the 27th Mystery Writers of Japan Award and the Seiun Award for a Japanese novel-length work. The English translation was first published in 1975. In 1995, after the Osaka-Kobe earthquake, a second English edition (ISBN 4-7700-2039-2) was published. The English translation is heavily abridged. In 2006, a sequel to the novel, co-authored with Kōshū Tani, was published.

Million Yen Women is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shunju Aono. It was serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits from November 2015 to September 2016. Mob Psycho 100 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by ONE. It was serialized on Shogakukan's Ura Sunday website from April 2012 to December 2017. The Naked Director is a Japanese semi-biographical comedy-drama streaming television series co-directed by Masaharu Take. Based on the non-fiction novel Zenra Kantoku Muranishi Tōru Den by Nobuhiro Motohashi, it tells the story of Japanese adult video director Toru Muranishi. The series premiered on Netflix on August 8, 2019. It stars Takayuki Yamada as Muranishi, alongside Shinnosuke Mitsushima and Tetsuji Tamayama. On August 15, 2019, Netflix renewed the series for a second season, which premiered on June 24, 2021.

The show follows the lives of six strangers, three men and three women from different walks of life, who live under the same roof while getting to know and date each other. Terrace House: Aloha State is a Japanese reality television series in the Terrace House franchise set in Hawaii. It premiered on Netflix as a Netflix Original on November 1, 2016 and ended on August 29, 2017. It is a Netflix and Fuji co-production which is also broadcast on Fuji Television in Japan. This is the first overseas edition of Terrace House. This season was originally planned to last for 24 episodes, but got extended to 36 episodes mid-season.

It follows three men and three women as they temporarily live together in a house in the Setagaya ward of Tokyo, Japan. It premiered on Netflix Japan as a Netflix Original on May 14, 2019.

Tidying Up with Marie Kondo is a reality television series developed for Netflix and released on January 1, 2019. The show follows Marie Kondo, a Japanese organizing consultant and creator of the KonMari method, as she visits families to help them organize and tidy their homes. Marie Iida acts as Marie Kondo's interpreter throughout the show.

Ultraman is a Japanese manga series written by Eiichi Shimizu and drawn by Tomohiro Shimoguchi of Linebarrels of Iron fame. Published in Monthly Hero's since the magazine's inaugural issue. It is part of the Ultraman franchise and a manga sequel of the 1966 television series. The series has been collected in 16 tankōbon volumes as of December 2020.

The Way of the Househusband is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kousuke Oono. Published in the online manga magazine Kurage Bunch since 2018, The Way of the Househusband follows an ex-yakuza boss who retires from crime to become a househusband. The series was adapted into a live-action television drama by Nippon TV in 2020. A Netflix original net animation (ONA) anime series produced by J.C.Staff was released in April 2021. A second part of the anime was released in October 2021.
