WSilvano Basagni was an Italian sport shooter. He competed in the mixed trap at the 1972, 1976 and 1980 Olympics and won a bronze medal in 1972. Basagni died on 10 May 2017 in Firenze, Italy. He was 78.
WFrancisco Boza is a Peruvian sports shooter and Olympic medalist. He won a silver medal in trap shooting at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and came fourth four years later.
WRomano Garagnani was an Italian skeet shooter. He competed at the 1968, 1976, 1980 and 1984 Olympics and won a silver medal in 1968. Garagnani also won bronze medals at the 1969 and 1978 world championships and a European title in 1977, as well as two medals at the Mediterranean Games and five Italian titles. In 1980, before the Moscow Olympics he shot 200 out of 200 in a local competition, but finished only 28th at the Olympics.

He is the first trap shooter to successfully defend the Olympic title. He celebrated his victory in 1980 by tossing his cap up into the air and shooting a hole through it.

WCorneliu Ion is a retired Romanian shooter who specialized in the 25 meter rapid fire pistol event. He competed at the 1976, 1980, 1984 and 1988 Olympics and won a gold medal in 1980 and a silver in 1984, placing fifth in 1976. In 1984 he served as the flag bearer for Romania at the opening ceremony. In 1975 he set a team world record at 2370 points and in 1977 equaled the individual world record at 598 points.

He won a gold medal in the 50 metre rifle prone event at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, the country's first ever Olympic gold. In August 1972 he was awarded the title of Merited Master of Sport of the USSR. He also competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics and the 1980 Summer Olympics.
WMaharaja Karni Singh ji also known as Dr Karni Singh, was from 1950 the last Maharaja of Bikaner State to hold the title of Maharaja of Bikaner, officially, till 1971, when the privy purse and all the royal titles were abolished by the Republic of India. He was also a politician, serving as a member of the Lok Sabha for twenty-five years, from 1952 to 1977, and an international clay pigeon and skeet champion.

WRagnar Skanåker is a Swedish competitive pistol shooter who was a world-class shooter for an extremely long period. His international breakthrough came in the 1972 Olympics, where he won the 50 m Pistol event. He is mostly associated with this event, the only one in which he has won Olympic medals, but he also won the 1983 World Championship in 10 m Air Pistol and, surprisingly to most, the 1978 World Championship in 25 m Standard Pistol, with a new world record. Skanåker's Swedish record in 50 m Pistol is 583, later a world record qualification in 2014.

WJózef Zapędzki is a retired Polish sport shooter. He competed at five consecutive Olympics from 1964 to 1980 in 25 m rapid fire pistol and won two gold medals, in 1968 and 1972. He is one of three shooters to have successfully defended the men's 25 m rapid fire pistol Olympic title. He is a 23-time Polish Champion. Throughout most of his sporting career, he represented the Śląsk Wrocław sports club.
