Amazon Prime is a paid subscription program from Amazon which is available in various countries and gives users access to additional services otherwise unavailable or available at a premium to other Amazon customers. Services include same, one or two-day delivery of goods and streaming music, video, e-books, gaming and grocery shopping services. In April 2021, Amazon reported that Prime had more than 200 million subscribers worldwide.

Beats Music was a subscription-based online music streaming service owned by the Beats Electronics division of Apple Inc. The service combined algorithm-based personalization with expert music suggestions from a variety of sources.

Boomplay Music is a media streaming and download service developed by Transsnet Music Limited. The service was first launched in Nigeria in 2015 by TECNO Mobile, Transsion Holdings. Boomplay has a freemium and subscription based service; basic features are free with advertisements or limitations, while additional features, such as download for offline play and ad-free listening are offered via paid subscriptions. The service is currently available for Web, Android and iOS use. As of August 3, 2018, Boomplay Music recorded 10 million installations off the Google Play App store. It currently has 75 million users.

Founded by American country music singer Garth Brooks, Randy Bernard, and Chris Webb, it launched in September 2014 and featured singles and albums from a variety of artists, including Brooks' entire catalogue. GhostTunes varied from other online music stores such as the iTunes Store by allowing the individual record labels to choose their selling format, such as entire albums or singles, as well as prices, with an emphasis on fair and proper royalty payments. Its digital library could be synced across multiple devices, creating a multi-platform collection encompassing all user-downloaded music, regardless of the store used to purchase.

Google Play Music was a music and podcast streaming service and online music locker operated by Google, part of its Google Play line of services. The service was announced on May 10, 2011; after a six-month, invitation-only beta period, it was publicly launched on November 16, 2011.

Joox is the biggest music streaming app in Asian markets such as Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and also the South African market. Joox is a freemium service, providing most of its songs free, while some songs are only available for premium users, offered via paid subscriptions or by doing different tasks offered.

Line Music is a subscription-based music streaming service by Line Corporation that combines existing Line Messenger app with the entertainment system that users not only can stream the music on-demand, but users can share the music directly to Line messenger. The chairman for the Line Music division is Lim-Suk Jun.The Line Music app is an alternative version of Naver VIBE in South Korea.

Melon is a South Korean online music store and music streaming service introduced in November 2004, and developed by SK Telecom. LOEN Entertainment became the company-in-charge of the service in 2009. In 2017, Kakao merged Kakao Music into Melon to have one, unified music streaming service.

Milk Music was a freemium online music streaming service, with music streams and a recommendation engine powered by Slacker Radio, that offered ad-supported free streaming and ad-free subscription streaming services originally meant to compete with Pandora. When first introduced in March 2014, it was first available only as an app for Samsung headsets. In January 2015, Milk Music was made available to everyone as a website.

Napster, formerly known as Rhapsody prior to June 14, 2016, is an online music store and subscription service based in Seattle, Washington. On April 6, 2010, Rhapsody relaunched as a standalone company, separate from former parent RealNetworks. Downloaded files come with restrictions on their use, enforced by Helix, Rhapsody's version of digital rights management enforced on AAC+ or WMA files. In the past, the service also sold individual MP3s without digital rights management restrictions.

Patari is a Pakistani music streaming service founded in February 2015 by Khalid Bajwa, Faisal Sherjan, Iqbal Talaat Bhatti and Humayun Haroon. The site provides Pakistani music and is known as the largest music streaming service in Pakistan.

Raaga is an Indian music streaming service, providing songs, podcasts and videos in various languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Sanskrit and genres like Carnatic music, Hindustani classical music and others. The logo of the site contains its slogan: "A world of music".

rara was a music streaming media service. It operated between December 2011 and March 2015. It offered ad-free, on-demand music streaming from a range of major and independent record labels, including Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, EMI Music and Warner Music Group, global rights agency Merlin and independent digital distributors The Orchard, INgrooves Fontana, Believe Digital, [PIAS] and VidZone Digital Media.

Rdio was an online music streaming service that offered ad-supported free streaming and ad-free subscription streaming services in 85 countries. It was available as a website and via app for Android, BlackBerry, iOS, and Windows Phone mobile devices, which could stream music from Rdio's servers or download music for offline playback; there were also clients for the Roku and Sonos systems. The web-based service also offered a native desktop client application for OS X and Windows, as well as a Windows Store application.

Simfy Music was a music subscription service available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, It was available as a website and also had clients for iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry which can play streaming music or cache songs for offline playback. The web-based service also offered a cross-platform client based on Adobe Air. Its library had content from the four major record labels, as well as the Merlin Network and aggregators such as The Orchard, and Finetunes. Simfy also offered social networking, allowing users to share playlists and follow others to see what music they listen to. In June 2014, MTN partnered with Simfy for streaming music

SoundCloud is a Swedish-founded online audio distribution platform and music sharing website based in Berlin, Germany that enables its users to upload, promote, and share audio, as well as a digital signal processor enabling listeners to stream audio. Started in 2007 by Alexander Ljung and Eric Wahlforss, SoundCloud has grown to be one of the largest music streaming services. SoundCloud offers both free and paid membership on the platform, available for desktop and mobile devices.

Style Jukebox was a hi-fi high-resolution audio cloud music streaming and storage player for the Windows, iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms. A Web Player was also available for Mac, Windows and Linux.

Tidal is a Norwegian subscription-based music, podcast and video streaming service that offers audio and music videos. Tidal was launched in 2014 by Norwegian public company Aspiro and is now majority-owned by Square, an American payment processing company.

TuneIn is an American audio streaming service delivering live news, radio, sports, music, and podcasts to over 60 million monthly active users. As of 2019, TuneIn has more than 75 million monthly active users.

Verzuz is an American webcast series created by producers Timbaland and Swizz Beatz, that airs on Verzuz TV.

WiMP was a music streaming service available on mobiles, tablets, network players and computers. Music in WiMP was streamed using the AAC+ file format in a bitrate of 96 kbit/s or the AAC file format in a bitrate of 320 kbit/s if the high quality streaming option is selected. WiMP also offered a HiFi-product with FLAC/ALAC. WiMP has since been merged into Tidal.

YouTube Music is a music streaming service developed by YouTube, a subsidiary of Google. It provides a tailored interface for the service, oriented towards music streaming, allowing users to browse through songs and music videos on YouTube based on genres, playlists, and recommendations.
