
NXT TakeOver is a series of periodic professional wrestling events produced by WWE, a professional wrestling promotion based in Connecticut. The events are produced exclusively for the promotion's NXT brand division and air live on pay-per-view (PPV) and the WWE Network. The first TakeOver event was simply titled TakeOver and was held on May 29, 2014. TakeOver events have since been held several times a year. Originally, the events were exclusively streamed live on the WWE Network until TakeOver 31 in October 2020, when the events also became available on traditional PPV.

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on August 22, 2015. It was produced by WWE, featuring its NXT brand division, and streamed live on the WWE Network. The event took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York—the first night of what was billed as a WWE "triple-header" at the arena, with SummerSlam taking place the following evening and Raw the night after that. This was the first NXT TakeOver to be held outside of Full Sail University; WWE promoted it as NXT being "on the biggest stage yet". Starting with NXT Arrival on February 27, 2014, WWE's developmental league NXT has held major shows broadcast live on the WWE Network, with the August event being the sixth event in the TakeOver series and was sold out. It was also the first of four shows in the TakeOver: Brooklyn chronology, a subseries of TakeOvers, which made it the first TakeOver to have its own subseries.

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on August 20, 2016 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The event was produced by WWE, showcasing its NXT brand division and streamed live on the WWE Network. It was the 11th NXT TakeOver event and specifically the second in the TakeOver: Brooklyn chronology, a subseries of TakeOvers.

NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way was a professional wrestling and WWE Network event produced by WWE for its NXT brand division. It was broadcast live on the WWE Network, available to subscribers. It took place on September 11, 2014 at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. It was the second show in the NXT TakeOver series and consisted of six matches. It was also the promotion's second event to carry the Fatal 4-Way name, the first of which was WWE's eponymous pay-per-view in June 2010.

NXT TakeOver: In Your House was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. It was broadcast on June 7, 2020. While the majority of the event aired live from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, the Backlot Brawl match was pre-recorded on May 28 in the parking lot of Full Sail University. It was the 29th NXT TakeOver event, which marked the 25th anniversary of the first In Your House pay-per-view. It was the first In Your House-branded event since St. Valentine's Day Massacre: In Your House in February 1999, thus being the 28th In Your House event and the first TakeOver event to be held at Full Sail University since TakeOver: The End in June 2016. It was the first TakeOver event to be held during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NXT TakeOver: In Your House was a professional wrestling pay-per-view and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. It took place on June 13, 2021 broadcast from the Capitol Wrestling Center, hosted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It was the 35th NXT TakeOver event, the 29th In Your House event, and the second under the TakeOver: In Your House chronology. It was the first In Your House to air on traditional pay-per-view since St. Valentine's Day Massacre: In Your House, that aired on February 1999

NXT TakeOver: London was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on December 16, 2015. It was produced by WWE, showcasing its NXT brand division, and was streamed live on the WWE Network. The event took place in The SSE Arena in London, England. The eighth NXT TakeOver event, it was the first TakeOver broadcast from outside of the United States, which was the finale of NXT's first tour of the United Kingdom.

NXT TakeOver: New Orleans was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on April 7, 2018, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event was produced by WWE for its NXT brand division and was streamed live on the WWE Network. It was the 19th NXT TakeOver event.

NXT TakeOver: New York was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. The event took place on April 5, 2019, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It was the 24th NXT TakeOver event.

NXT TakeOver 31 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. It took place on October 4, 2020, and was broadcast from the Capitol Wrestling Center, hosted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida—this was the first NXT event to feature the Capitol Wrestling Center, NXT's version of the WWE ThunderDome used for Raw and SmackDown and a homage to the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, the predecessor to the WWWF. As the name implies, it was the 31st NXT TakeOver event. It was also the first TakeOver to be presented on a traditional pay-per-view format in addition to the WWE Network.

NXT TakeOver 36 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT and NXT UK brand divisions. It took place on August 22, 2021, and was broadcast from the Capitol Wrestling Center, hosted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. As the name implies, it was the 36th NXT TakeOver event.

NXT TakeOver XXX was a professional wrestling and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. It took place on August 22, 2020 at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. It was the 30th NXT TakeOver event. It was also the final NXT TakeOver event to air exclusively on the WWE Network, as beginning with TakeOver 31, the events also became available on traditional pay-per-view.

NXT TakeOver: Orlando was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on April 1, 2017, at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, as part of the WrestleMania 33 weekend festivities. The event was produced by WWE for its NXT brand division and was streamed live on the WWE Network. It was the 14th NXT TakeOver event.

NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on January 27, 2018, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. NXT TakeOver: Phoenix was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. The event took place on January 26, 2019, at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. NXT TakeOver: Phoenix was the 23rd overall show held under the NXT TakeOver banner and the first to be held in 2019.

NXT TakeOver: Portland was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. It took place on February 16, 2020 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. It was the 28th NXT TakeOver event, and the first to be held on a Sunday. This was also the last TakeOver event to take place before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, which began affecting all of WWE's programming in mid-March.

NXT TakeOver: Respect was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on October 7, 2015. It was produced by WWE for its NXT brand division and streamed live on the WWE Network. It was held at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida as the seventh NXT TakeOver event.

NXT TakeOver: Rival was a professional wrestling and WWE Network event produced by WWE for its NXT brand division. It was broadcast live on the WWE Network, available to subscribers. TakeOver: Rival took place on February 11, 2015 at NXT's home arena, Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida and featured six matches. The show was the fourth event in the NXT TakeOver series of Network-exclusive shows.

NXT TakeOver: San Antonio was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on January 28, 2017, at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas. The event was produced by WWE for its NXT brand division and was streamed live on the WWE Network. It was the 13th NXT TakeOver event and the first to be held in January.

NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver was a professional wrestling television special, pay-per-view, and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. It took place on April 7 and 8, 2021, and was broadcast from the Capitol Wrestling Center, hosted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It was the 34th NXT TakeOver event and was the first to take place over the span of two nights. Both nights aired on the WWE Network, thus marking the first WWE in-ring event to air on Peacock's WWE Network channel in the United States following the shutdown of the aforementioned service's standalone American version on April 4. The first night aired in NXT's weekly Wednesday night timeslot on the USA Network, making it the first TakeOver to air on television and the final NXT broadcast on Wednesdays before moving to Tuesdays on April 13. The second night aired on traditional pay-per-view in addition to the WWE Network.

NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay was a scheduled professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that was to be produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. The event was originally scheduled to take place on April 4, 2020 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, but had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was ultimately canceled, but matches scheduled and planned for the event were rescheduled to take place across multiple episodes of NXT starting April 1.

NXT TakeOver: The End, also called NXT TakeOver: The End... of the Beginning, was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on June 8, 2016. It was produced by WWE, showcasing its NXT brand division and streamed live on the WWE Network. It was the 10th NXT TakeOver event. The name "The End" stemmed from this being the final TakeOver event to take place at NXT's long-time home at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, although due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, all NXT events were held at Full Sail until October that year when NXT events moved to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

NXT TakeOver: Toronto was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on November 19, 2016, at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The event was produced by WWE for its NXT brand division and streamed live on the WWE Network. It was the 12th NXT TakeOver event, the second held outside of the United States, and specifically the first of two in the TakeOver: Toronto chronology, a subseries of TakeOvers.

NXT TakeOver: Toronto was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. It took place on August 10, 2019, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was the 26th NXT TakeOver event and specifically the second, as well as the last, in the TakeOver: Toronto chronology, a subseries of TakeOvers.

NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable was a professional wrestling and WWE Network event produced by WWE for its NXT brand division. It was broadcast live on the WWE Network, available to subscribers. TakeOver: Unstoppable took place on May 20, 2015 at NXT's home arena, Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida and featured six matches as part of the televised broadcast and one that was a dark match that occurred prior to the televised portion of the show. It was the fifth show in the NXT TakeOver series of Network-exclusive shows.

NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day was a professional wrestling pay-per-view and WWE Network event, produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. It took place on February 14, 2021 and was broadcast from the Capitol Wrestling Center, hosted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It was the 33rd event in the NXT TakeOver chronology and the ninth in the Vengeance chronology. The name of the event was also a play on Valentine's Day, as the event was held on the same day as the holiday. It was the final NXT TakeOver event to air on the American version of the WWE Network before its merger with Peacock.

NXT TakeOver: WarGames was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event that took place on November 18, 2017 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The event was produced by WWE for its NXT brand division and streamed live on the WWE Network. The event's name is derived from the match of the same name that was originally used in the National Wrestling Alliance and later, World Championship Wrestling. It was the 17th NXT TakeOver event and specifically the first in the TakeOver: WarGames chronology, a subseries of TakeOvers.

NXT TakeOver: WarGames was a professional wrestling show and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their NXT brand division. It took place on November 23, 2019, at the Allstate Arena in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois. It was the 27th NXT TakeOver event and specifically the third under the TakeOver: WarGames chronology, a subseries of TakeOvers. As well, it was the first to have a women's WarGames match, which subsequently made it the first to have two WarGames matches on the same night. It was also the second TakeOver event in history in which the NXT Championship was not defended, and was the first which saw no title defenses on the card.
