Amman Bus Rapid Transit is a $160 million under-construction bus rapid transit transportation system in Amman, Jordan. The BRT project, which is managed by the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), was announced in 2009 and started in 2010. In September of 2011 when the government of the Prime Minister Dr. Marouf al-Bakhit halted the project after inheriting it from previous governments, amid accusations of corruption which were investigated by the Jordanian Cabinet and issues with financial capacities. In 2015, a Lower House's committee of the Jordanian Parliament approved the revival of the project after clearing it of corruption accusations. The project was controversial among the Jordanian public, as Aaron Weintraub, of Jordan News noted that the Amman BRT project had become "synonymous with construction delays, accusations of corruption, and lack of accountability in leadership."

The Arab Ba'ath Progressive Party is a political party in Jordan. It is the Jordanian regional branch of the Syrian-led Ba'ath Party. It was legally registered for the first time in 1993. The party is small, and has, according to a WikiLeaks document, "minuscule number of adherents". Despite it small size, the branch is able to get a decent footprint in Jordanian media through its leader, Fuad Dabbour. Dabbour's fiery statements on foreign policy are frequently quoted by the press. The party is less known than its pro-Iraqi counterpart, the Jordanian Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party. It is the party branch of the Syrian-dominated Ba'ath Party in Jordan. Fuad Dabbour is the branch's Regional Secretary. It is believed that the party has fewer than 200 members.

Eager Lion is a two-week multinational military exercise held annually in Jordan since 2010. Khirbet en-Nahas, also spelled Khirbat en-Nahas, is one of the largest copper mining and smelting sites of the ancient world, built around 3,000 years ago. It is located in Wadi Faynan, between the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba, now in Jordan. There is evidence for sophisticated economic and political activity in the valley about 3,000 years ago and archaeologists think it may be the site of an early organized state.

In Maan there are two Wind Farms. Maan Wind Farm was inaugurated in 2016 in south Jordan with a capacity of 80 MW, and Rajef Wind Farm reached the commercial Operation Date by October 2018, with a capacity of 86 MW.

Uyun al-Hammam is a prehistoric burial site in Jordan. It is the earliest known formal burial site in the Middle East, and is possibly the oldest in the world. Remains at the 16,500-year-old burial site, located in Wadi Ziqlab, were first discovered in 2000.
