Kalydo is a proprietary cloud gaming technology and service based on file streaming. The Kalydo platform launched commercially in 2008 and has been in service since. The Kalydo file streaming technology allows games to be played immediately, without the need of downloading and installation, providing faster and easier access to games. Games running on Kalydo do so via the proprietary Kalydo Player plugin and can run in a browser, or from the PC desktop.

Steam Link is a hardware and software solution made by Valve Corporation for streaming Steam content from a personal computer or Steam Machine wirelessly to a mobile device or other monitor. Steam Link was originally released as a hardware device alongside the debut of Steam Machines in November 2015. Valve discontinued the Steam Link hardware device in November 2018, in favor of supporting its software-based Steam Link application for mobile devices and smart televisions, as well as providing Steam Link as a software package for the Raspberry Pi microcomputer.

StreamMyGame is a software-only game streaming solution that enables Microsoft Windows-based games and applications to be played remotely on Windows and Linux devices. It was first released on 26 October 2007 as Windows-only software. On 14 January 2008 StreamMyGame launched a Linux version of its player. This new version made it possible to use a PlayStation 3 running Linux to remotely play Windows games. On the 3 June 2008 Sean Maloney, Intel Corporation Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing demonstrated StreamMyGame at Computex 08 over a WiMAX connection using an Intel Mobile Internet Device to view and play the game Crysis. On 17 July 2008 StreamMyGame announced that its Player was compatible with Intel's Atom range of processors and devices including Asus's EeePC netbook. In addition to streaming games over a local network, StreamMyGame can be used over broadband networks however these broadband connections require a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbit/s.

Ubisoft Connect

Ubisoft Connect is a digital distribution, digital rights management, multiplayer and communications service developed by Ubisoft to provide an experience similar to the achievements/trophies offered by various other game companies. It is an expansion and rebranding of Ubisoft's previous Uplay service, which was first introduced in 2009, while the Ubisoft Connect rebranding was introduced in 2020. The service is provided across various platforms. Ubisoft Connect is used exclusively by first-party Ubisoft games, and although some third-party ones are sold through the Ubisoft store, they do not use the Ubisoft Connect platform.
