
Blegdamsvej Prison is a prison operated by Københavns Fængsler on Blegdamsvej in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Established in 1848, it is the oldest prison building still in use in Denmark.

Horsens Statsfængsel, formerly called Horsens Straffeanstalt, is a former prison in Horsens, Denmark. Today it is a crime and prison museum under the name Horsens Prison Museum (Fængselsmuseet), a conference and business facility, and a concert venue where bands such as Metallica have played. Following expansions in 2016, it is the largest prison museum in the world. It won the 2015 InAVation award as best visitors attraction and the 2016 Museums + Heritage award as best foreign (non-British) museum.
The State Prison of Kragskovhede is an open prison in Denmark. The prison is located between Frederikshavn and Skagen and about two kilometers from the station city of Jerup in Krageskov Moor. The prison has 1500 acres of land, some of which is used for agriculture.

Vestre Prison is the main jail of the Danish capital, Copenhagen. Erected in 1895, it is Denmark's largest prison with a total capacity of 530 inmates. It primarily houses pretrial detainees, not convicted felons.
Vridsløselille Prison is a former state prison located in Albertslund in the western suburbs of Copenhagen in Denmark. It was operated as a state prison from its opening in 1859 to January 2016 and then served as a special departure center for rejected asylum seekers with prison sentences until February 2018.

The Women's Prison at Christianshavn in Copenhagen, Denmark, was a correctional facility which existed under various names from the mid 17th century until 1921. From 1870 it served as a women's prison. Earlier names included Børnehuset and Tugt- og Rasphuset. Its last building, which dated from 1861, was torn down in 1928 to make way for an expansion of Torvegade.
