He is the Emanuel Alexandre Professor of Musicology, Director of the Jewish Music Research Centre at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Visiting Scholar in Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College. He is the 2018 Israel Prize laureate in the field of Musicology.

His music was performed, recorded and published in various countries, such as U.S.A., U.K., France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa, Georgia, Romania, Israel, and others. Shapira was awarded many prizes and awards, including the first prize of the International Clarinet Association. His works were selected to represent the state of Israel in numerous international music festivals and were performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and other major stages around the world.
Noam Sheriff was an Israeli composer, conductor, educator and arranger. Sheriff was one of Israel’s most versatile and world-renowned musicians. He was Artistic Director of Israel Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra (1973-1982); Music Director of the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion (1989-1995); Professor of Composition and Conducting at the Tel-Aviv University's Samuel Rubin Academy of Music since 1990 and the Academy's director ; Artistic Director of the Israel Chamber Orchestra (2002-2005); and Artistic Director of the Haifa Symphony Orchestra (2004-2013).

Doron Toister is a Cellist, Pianist, Composer and Classical music arranger. He leads the Cello group of the Israeli Rishon Lezion Symphony Orchestra and Israeli Opera Orchestra.

Arie Vardi is a classical pianist, conductor, and piano pedagogue. He is laureate of the Israel Prize in 2017.
