
Joel Ingemar Berglund, born 4 June 1903 in Torsåker, Archdiocese of Uppsala in Gästrikland, Sweden, died 21 January 1985 in Stockholm, was a Swedish opera singer (Bass-baritone), and the director of Royal Swedish Opera and Hovsångare.

Karin Branzell was a Swedish operatic contralto, who had a prominent career at the Metropolitan Opera, New York, and in Europe. Her very wide range enabled her to sing both contralto roles and the occasional soprano role. She was particularly noted for her singing of the music of Richard Wagner, in roles such as Ortrud (Lohengrin), Venus (Tannhäuser), Erda, Brangäne, and Brunnhilde. She was considered on a par with Margarete Klose and Kerstin Thorborg as a Wagnerian contralto. Amneris (Aida), Dalila, Herodias (Salome), and Clytemnestra (Elektra) were among her other renowned roles.

Sara Cahier was an American-born mezzo-soprano or contralto singer in opera and lieder, singing primarily in Europe. Cahier later acquired Swedish citizenship. She was associated with Gustav Mahler, and was one the soloists in the posthumous premiere of his Das Lied von der Erde in 1911. She sang at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and was a teacher at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Her students included Marian Anderson.

Hedvig Carolina Sophie Cysch née Wiberg (1847–1917) was a Swedish mezzo-soprano singer and stage actress, frequently performing the leading roles in operettas, both in Stockholm and Gothenburg. In particular, she is remembered for performing the title role in Sköna Helena, the Swedish version of Offenbach's La belle Hélène.

Hanna Tove Dahlberg is a Swedish mezzo-soprano opera singer, active on the international opera scene. In 2005 Dahlberg was one of a group of world-class musicians who were permitted to perform inside a building at Auschwitz for the first time ever during the filming of the International Emmy Award winning TV documentary Holocaust: A Music Memorial Film.

Marie (Maria) Friberg was a Swedish opera singer (alto) of the Royal Swedish Opera. She is known for her relationship to King Oscar II of Sweden, with whom she allegedly had two sons.

Folke Henry Jonsson was a Swedish opera singer who sang leading bass roles primarily at the Royal Swedish Opera and in other Scandinavian opera houses for many years. He also appeared as one of the priests in Ingmar Bergman's film The Magic Flute (Trollflöjten) and as the Herald in Roberto Rossellini's film Giovanna d'Arco al rogo.
Anna Larsson is a Swedish contralto. As a student she attended the Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. Her international debut was made with the Berlin Philharmonic and the conductor Claudio Abbado in a performance of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 2 in 1997. In 2005 received a Grammy nomination for her recording of Richard Strauss Daphne together with WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne conducted by Semyon Bychkov.

Louise Pyk was a Swedish opera singer.

Augusta Öhrström-Renard was a Swedish mezzo-soprano opera singer who performed at the Royal Theatre in Stockholm (1881–1883) and gave concerts in France and North America. Her operatic roles included Azucena in Il trovatore, Bergadrottningen in Den bergtagna and Marta in the Swedish première of Mefistofele in 1883. From 1897 she lived in New York where she was engaged by the Metropolitan Opera for a five-year period.

Susanna Rigacci is a Swedish-born Italian singer/soprano.

Grethe Inga Rottböll Sund, née Grethe Inga Poulsen, is a Swedish singer and author. She lives and works in Sweden and writes books for adults and children under´the name Grethe Rottböll. During the 1990s she worked as a singer (mezzo-soprano) in operas and operettas. Since May 2018 she is the chairman of Sveriges Författarförbund.

Ulrika Eleonora Säfström was a Swedish stage actress, described as a great dramatic star of Stockholm in her day. She was used for heroine parts and was also popular in operettas.

Per Kristofer Sinding-Larsen is a Swedish journalist, television presenter and singer. He is most known for presenting the music show Studio Pop which was broadcast on SVT and a music reviewer for the culture show Kulturnyheterna also at SVT. He has also produced the two music documentaries Kent and Så nära får ingen gå – ett år med Kent about the music group Kent. Between 2007 and 2014 he founded and ran the web and TV project PSL for SVT. PSL did start again 2018 and cover the music scene in Sweden and around the world.

Maria Wilhelmina Strandberg née Söhrling was a Swedish operatic mezzo-soprano who performed at the Royal Theatre in Stockholm from 1867 to 1903, mainly in soubrette roles.

Ester Vilhelmina Textorius was a Swedish actress and opera singer, known for her comedic theater roles.

Zulamith Maria Wellander-Svaneskog was a Swedish operatic mezzo-soprano who performed at the Royal Theatre in Stockholm from 1877 to 1889, also taking engagements in Augsburg, Berlin, Kassel and Copenhagen during the same period. On retiring from the stage, she became a voice teacher in Stockholm.
