They are known for their humour during their live performances, while their name is a homage to the absurdist movement of the early twentieth century. First Aid Kit is a Swedish folk duo that consists of the sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, born in 1990 and 1993, respectively. When performing live, the duo is accompanied by a drummer, a pedal steel guitarist, and a keyboard player. In 2008, they gained some Internet popularity from their cover of the Fleet Foxes's song "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song". Their song "Emmylou" was chosen by Rolling Stone magazine as the number 10 "Single of the Year" in 2012. They have released four albums, four EPs and several singles. In 2015, they were nominated for a Brit Award as one of the five best international groups. They were nominated again in 2019.

Galantis is a Swedish electronic dance music production, songwriting and DJ duo consisting of Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw. Karlsson is also known as Bloodshy as part of two other musical groups, a duo and a trio. Eklöw is known as Style of Eye.

Icona Pop is a Swedish electropop duo that formed in 2009, with electro house, punk and indie pop music influences. Its two members Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, grew up in Stockholm and create what the Swedish press has described as music which "you can both laugh and cry to at the same time". They signed to TEN Music Group in 2009 and are currently also in a label deal with Ultra Music. Their biggest hit to date has been "I Love It". Since September 2012, they have been based in Los Angeles and New York City.

Johnossi is a rock duo from Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County, Sweden, consisting of songwriter, singer, guitarist John Engelbert and drummer, percussionist, singer Oskar "Ossi" Bonde.

Kate Boy are a Swedish synthpop duo from Stockholm. The group was founded by Kate Akhurst, from Australia, and Markus Dextegen, from Sweden, together with former swedish members Hampus Nordgren Hemlin and Oskar Sikow. All members have participated in writing, producing and playing instruments. They released their debut studio album, One, in November 2015.

Kite are a Swedish synthpop group composed of Nicklas Stenemo and Christian Berg. Originating from Malmö and now based in Stockholm they are signed to Progress Productions and have published six EPs since their debut in 2008. Each of them was released on CD and as a limited vinyl record edition. Kite have performed on festivals like Recession Festival in Århus, Denmark, and on Arvika Festival and Putte i parken in Sweden and Wave Gotik Treffen Leipzig.

The Knife were a Swedish electronic music duo from Gothenburg, formed in 1999. The group consisted of siblings Karin and Olof Dreijer, who together also run their own record company, Rabid Records. The group gained a large international following in response to their 2003 album Deep Cuts.

Koop is an electronic jazz duo from Sweden, consisting of Magnus Zingmark and Oscar Simonsson.

Medina is a Swedish hip hop and rap duo formation with Arabic influences made up of Swedish artists of Tunisian descent, being Sam-E, a former professional football player in Tunisia and Alibi. Sam-E is also of Finnish descent as his mother is Finnish. The two started making music in 2003 under the name Medina after they met in Knivsta promoting a special genre they called "Haffla music" with rhythm from the Arab World mixed with hip hop.

Midaircondo was a Swedish electronica duo consisting of Lisa Nordström and Lisen Rylander Löve, active 2003-2015.

My Bubba is a Swedish/Icelandic duo whose music is described as minimalistic, vocal-oriented folk which 'belies a modern sensibility and often a sultry suggestiveness'. The lyrics are playful and the vocals are simultaneously delicate and disarming.

Nordman is a Swedish duo founded in 1993, that mixes folk music with rock and pop. This genre is called etnorock or folk rock in Swedish. The group consists of Håkan Hemlin, as singer and frontman and Mats Wester, who plays the nyckelharpa as well as serving as the main songwriter.

Norlie & KKV is a Swedish hip hop rapping and singing duo made up of Sonny Fahlberg and Kim Vadenhag. They are signed to Universal Music Sweden.

Rebecca & Fiona is a Swedish DJ duo from Stockholm. The duo was founded by Rebecca Scheja and Fiona FitzPatrick in 2007, when they met at a party and started to work and make music together as DJs. In 2010 they released their debut single "Luminary Ones" and during 2010-2011 they were support act for Robyn, other notable performances during those years were also at the Polar Music Prize and the Swedish music festival Way Out West.

Roxette were a Swedish pop rock duo, consisting of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle. Formed in 1986, the duo became an international act in the late 1980s, when they released their breakthrough second album Look Sharp! Their third album Joyride, which was released in 1991, became just as successful as its predecessor. Roxette went on to achieve nineteen UK Top 40 hits and several US Hot 100 hits, including four US number-ones with "The Look", "Listen to Your Heart", "It Must Have Been Love", featured on the soundtrack of Pretty Woman, and "Joyride". Their other hits include "Dressed for Success", "Dangerous", and "Fading Like a Flower".

Samir & Viktor or Samir och Viktor is a Swedish music duo that consists of Paradise Hotel contestant Samir Badran and fashion blogger Viktor Frisk. Samir & Viktor participated in Melodifestivalen 2015 with the song "Groupie", which finished eighth in the final, and again in Melodifestivalen 2016 with Bada Nakna which placed 12th overall. They competed a third time in Melodifestivalen 2018 with Shuffla, finishing in 4th place in the grand final.

Say Lou Lou are a twin sister musical duo hailing from Australia and Sweden. Miranda Anna and Elektra June Kilbey-Jansson are the daughters of Steve Kilbey, the lead singer of Australian alternative band The Church, and Karin Jansson, ex-girlfriend and recording partner of Kilbey. They grew up in both Australia and Sweden.

The Lovers of Valdaro are a Swedish musical duo consisting of the vocalist Erik Gabriel and the producer Adam Warhester. They participated in the Melodifestivalen 2019 with the song "Somebody Wants" and got the 7th place in the third semi-final.
