
Mariska Aldrich was an American dramatic soprano singer and actress. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a pupil of Alfred Giraudet (1906–1909) and George Henschel. She debuted at the Manhattan Opera House in 1908, as the Page in Les Huguenots. She sang with the Manhattan Opera House from 1909 to 1913. She was committed to the Metropolitan Opera in 1910–1911, where she performed the roles of Azucena in Il trovatore, Fricka in Das Rheingold, Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana, Naoia in Frederick Converse's Iolan, Or, the Pipe of Desire, and Venus in Tannhäuser, Her voice changed from contralto to dramatic soprano while she was in Europe. She sang the part of Brunnhilde in Bayreuth in 1914. She married J. Frank Aldrich on April 18, 1901. She died in 1965.

Elizabeth Amsden was an American operatic soprano and actress. She had an active international opera career during the early 20th century. She also appeared in several small to mid-sized roles in Hollywood films between 1923 and 1946; appearing in a total of 35 motion pictures.

Sophie Brandt born Sophie Barth was an American actress and soprano singer of musical comedy, opera, and waltzes. She was "gifted with a voice capable of attaining unusually high notes," reported one magazine in 1904. She was known in private life as Mrs. William Burlock. She was born in St. Louis and died at Chicago in 1946.

Jennifer Johnson Cano is an American operatic mezzo-soprano. Before her college education, she attended St. Pius X High School, graduating in the Class of 2002. While in high school, she was a member of the choir, singing at Mass and state competitions. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Webster University and a Master of Music degree from Rice University where she was a pupil of Kathleen Kaun. In 2008 she won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and in 2009 she won the Young Concert Artists competition and was the recipient of a Sullivan Foundation grant. She was a member of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program.

Anna Case was an American soprano. She recorded with Thomas Alva Edison, who used her voice extensively in "tone tests" of whether a live audience could tell the difference between the actual singer and a recording. In addition to recordings for Edison Records on both phonograph cylinder and Diamond Disc, Case recorded for Victor and Columbia Records, and made sound film for Vitaphone.

He has been described as the best baritone of his day, with some performances that "will long be remembered for [their] intensity of musical feeling." He was known for his leading roles in a revival of George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess in 1944, and in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado.

Julia Migenes is an American soprano working primarily in musical theatre repertoire. She was born on the Lower East Side of New York to a family of Greek and Irish-Puerto Rican descent. She is sometimes credited as Julia Migenes-Johnson. She attended The High School of Music & Art in New York City.

Robert Nagy was an American operatic tenor who had a lengthy and fruitful association with the Metropolitan Opera that lasted for three decades. His association with the Met began when he won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 1956. He mostly portrayed comprimario roles at the Met where his most memorable early role was the Messenger in Aida, a role he sang 172 times for the company. He notably sang in the world premieres of two operas by Samuel Barber at the Met: Vanessa (1958) and Antony and Cleopatra (1966). He also sang in the company premieres of Die Frau ohne Schatten (1966), Billy Budd (1978) and L'enfant et les sortilèges (1981). Although Nagy specialized in supporting roles, he also portrayed several leading parts at the Met, among them Florestan in Fidelio, Herodes in Salome, the Kaiser in "Die Frau ohne Schatten" and the Drum Major in "Wozzeck." He remained on the Met roster through the end of the 1987–88 season, performing 1,187 performances with the Met during his thirty years with the company.

Richard Wentworth was an American operatic bass-baritone and musical theatre actor. In 1939 he joined Fortune Gallo's San Carlo Opera Company with which he portrayed some 89 roles through 1945. He made his Broadway debut in 1942 at the Alvin Theatre as Dr. Bartolo in Once Over Lightly, an adaptation of Gioacchino Rossini's The Barber of Seville. He returned to Broadway in 1946 to portray The Butcher Boy in the short lived David Raksin musical If the Shoe Fits. Wentworth also occasionally appeared in musicals on the American theatre circuit during the 1940s and 1950s.
