Jaakko Gauriloff is a Skolt Sámi singer. He is regarded as the first artist to have sung popular music in the Skolt Sámi language and is said to be the first Sámi to have published an album in Finland when he published his first record at the end of the 1960s. Although he is mostly known as a schlager singer, he can also sing traditional Skolt Sámi leuʹdds.

Jonne Järvelä is the vocalist/guitarist of the Finnish band Korpiklaani. He is known in the folk metal scene for his yoiking and contributed the yoik on the Finntroll album, Jaktens Tid. He was once a member of the Sami music group Angelin tytöt. In 2011 he appeared in the song "Humppa Is My Neighbour" by the Russian band Troll Bends Fir and in the song "Leszek a Hold" by the Hungarian band Dalriada, in 2012 he played on the Varg Song "A Thousand Eyes" of the Guten Tag album.

Hildá Birget Länsman is a Finnish Sami singer who frequently performs with her mother Ulla Pirttijärvi, singing yoik-inspired numbers. In 2014, they formed the duo Solju, placed third with "Hold Your Colours" in the pre-Eurovision Finnish contest UMK in 2015. In January 2019, Solju received the Folk Music Creator prize at the Finnish Ethnogala. Solju also won the prize for the Best International Indigenous Release at the Canadian Indigenous Music Awards (2019). The duo's début album Ođđa Áigodat was released in April 2018.

Nils-Aslak Valkeapää, known as Áillohaš in the Northern Sami language, was a Finnish Sami writer, musician and artist. He was born in Enontekiö in Lapland province, Finland. He lived most of his life in Käsivarsi, close to the border of Sweden, and also in Skibotn in Norway. Valkeapää was born to a family of traditional reindeer herders, but was trained as a school teacher. His most well-known international debut was when he performed at the opening ceremony of the 1994 Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway. He received the Nordic Council Literature Prize for The Sun, My Father in 1991.
