
The Welsh Government is the devolved government of Wales. The government consists of ministers, who attend cabinet meetings, and deputy ministers who do not, and also of a counsel general. It is led by the first minister, usually the leader of the largest party in the Senedd, who selects ministers and deputy ministers with the approval of the Senedd. The government is responsible for tabling policy in devolved areas for consideration by the Senedd and implementing policy that has been approved by it.

The First Minister of Wales is the Leader of the Welsh Government. The Minister for Education is a Cabinet minister in the Welsh Government who leads the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). The current officeholder is Jeremy Miles.

The St David's Day Agreement, also known as the St David's Command Paper, is a command paper which set out the proposals of the UK coalition government. It was published in the command paper Powers for a purpose: Towards a lasting devolution settlement for Walesr. The document was announced on 27 February 2015, by Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Transport for Wales, or TfW, is a not-for-profit company owned by the Welsh Government and managed at arms length by its appointed board. TfW oversees the issuance and upkeep of the Wales & Borders railway franchise, through its subsidiary Transport for Wales Rail Limited, and a partnership with former operator KeolisAmey Wales.

Visit Wales is the Welsh Government's tourism organisation. Its aim is to promote Welsh tourism and assist the tourism industry.
