The plot of the film revolves around a casino heist by an employee who needs to pay for his sick daughter's treatment.

Mickey's Steam Roller is a 1934 animated short film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by United Artists. In the cartoon, Mickey Mouse is the driver of a steamroller which is hijacked by his two nephews. It was directed by David Hand and features the voices of Walt Disney as Mickey and Marcellite Garner as Minnie Mouse and Mickey's nephews. It was the 67th Mickey Mouse short film to be released, and the fifth of that year.

The Taking of Pelham 123 is a 2009 American action thriller film directed by Tony Scott. It is a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Morton Freedgood, and is a remake of the original 1974 film adaptation of the same name, which was also remade in 1998 as a television movie. The film is about a train dispatcher, who is pressed into the role of negotiator after a criminal hijacks a subway car of passengers. Production began in March 2008, and it was released on June 12, 2009.

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three is a 1974 American thriller film directed by Joseph Sargent, produced by Gabriel Katzka and Edgar J. Scherick, and starring Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw, Martin Balsam, and Héctor Elizondo. Peter Stone adapted the screenplay from the 1973 novel of the same name written by Morton Freedgood under the pen name John Godey.

Tezz (transl. Fast) is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Priyadarshan. It stars Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Zayed Khan, Sameera Reddy and Boman Irani. Southern actor Mohanlal appears in a guest role. The stunt choreographer chosen for the movie was Gareth Milne, the stunt co-ordinator of Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer and National Treasure: Book of Secrets. The official trailer was released on 4 January 2012. The movie was released on 27 April 2012 in 1950 screens.

Tsotsi is a 2005 crime drama film written and directed by Gavin Hood and produced by Peter Fudakowski. It is an adaptation of the novel Tsotsi, by Athol Fugard and is a South African/UK co-production. Set in the Alexandra slum in Johannesburg, South Africa, it stars Presley Chweneyagae as David/Tsotsi, a young street thug who steals a car only to discover a baby in the back seat. It also features Terry Pheto, Kenneth Nkosi, Jerry Mofokeng, and Rapulana Seiphemo in supporting roles.

Under Siege 2: Dark Territory is a 1995 American action thriller film directed by Geoff Murphy, starring Steven Seagal as the ex-Navy SEAL, Casey Ryback. Set on board a train traveling through the Rocky Mountains from Denver to Los Angeles, it is the sequel to the 1992 film Under Siege also starring Seagal. The title refers to the railroading term that the subject train was travelling through dark territory, a section of railroad track that has no train signals and in which communications between train dispatchers and the railroad engineers were impossible.
