
The Foreign Policy and United Nations Association of Austria (UNA-Austria) was founded in 2008, when the "United Nations Association of Austria" and the "Austrian Association for Foreign Policy and International Relations" were merged. UNA-Austria is a founding member of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) and has as well an independent youth organization, the United Nations Youth and Students Association of Austria (UNYSA-Austria).

Hans Martin Blix is a Swedish diplomat and politician for the Liberal People's Party. He was Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs (1978–1979) and later became the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency. As such, Blix was the first Western representative to inspect the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster in the Soviet Union on site, and led the agency response to them. Blix was also the head of the United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission from March 2000 to June 2003, when he was succeeded by Dimitris Perrikos. In 2002, the commission began searching Iraq for weapons of mass destruction, ultimately finding none. On 17 March 2003, U.S. President George W. Bush delivered an address from the White House announcing that within 48 hours, the United States would invade Iraq unless Saddam Hussein would leave Iraq. Bush then ordered all of the weapons inspectors, including Blix's team, to leave Iraq so that America and its allies could invade Iraq on March 20. In February 2010, Blix became head of the United Arab Emirates' advisory board for its nuclear power program. He is the former president of the World Federation of United Nations Associations.

Prior to that, he served as deputy foreign minister and as the Korean ambassador to Morocco and Canada. He is the former president of the World Federation of United Nations Associations, re-elected in November 2012 and to a third term in November 2015.

UN Youth New Zealand is a registered charity. It is powered solely by volunteers who are aged 25 or under or full-time tertiary students. It is the largest youth-for-youth organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand. Annually, over 3,000 young Kiwis from Northland to Southland engage with a UN Youth event.

UN Youth Australia is a national youth-led organisation which seeks to educate and empower young Australians on global issues and foster an understanding of the work of the United Nations, human rights and International relations in young Australians. The organisation is fully operated by volunteers who have left high school and are under the age of 24, over 15,000 young people participate in UN Youth Australia’s programs, activities and events each year.

The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) was founded in 1946 as a Federation of national associations. Its objectives are to promote the values of the UN Charter, defend multilateralism, work towards a better United Nations Organisation and raise awareness on the main pillars of work of the United Nations—peace and security, sustainable development, and human rights.
