
Aakrosh (transl. Anger) is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak under the banner of Big Screen Entertainer. It stars Ajay Devgan, Akshaye Khanna and Bipasha Basu; while Paresh Rawal and Reema Sen play the supporting roles. The soundtrack was composed by Pritam with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The film features cinematography by Thiru, production design by Sabu Cyril and editing by Arun Kumar. Tyag Rajan and R.P Yadav arranged and choreographed the action sequences of the film.

Amma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Biddalu is an Indian Telugu-language political satire film directed by Siddartha Thatolu and Ram Gopal Varma and produced by Ajay Mysore. The film stars Ajmal Ameer, Dhananjay Prabhune, Brahmanandam, and Ali. The plot depicts the political rivalry between the two dominant castes of Andhra Pradesh, namely, Reddy and Kamma, at the onset of 2019 Legislative Assembly election.

Antima Teerpu is a 1988 Indian Telugu film directed by Joshiy. It was a remake of the director's own Malayalam film, New Delhi, which was loosely based on the novel, The Almighty, written by Irving Wallace. It is the only Telugu film to be entirely shot in Delhi. Krishnam Raju won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu for this film.

Argo is a 2012 American historical drama thriller film directed by Ben Affleck. Screenwriter Chris Terrio adapted the screenplay from the 1999 book by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency operative Tony Mendez, The Master of Disguise, and the 2007 Wired article by Joshuah Bearman, "The Great Escape: How the CIA Used a Fake Sci-Fi Flick to Rescue Americans from Tehran". The film deals with the "Canadian Caper", in which Mendez led the rescue of six U.S. diplomats from Tehran, Iran, under the guise of filming a science fiction film during the 1979–1981 Iran hostage crisis.

Arjun Suravaram is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by T. Santhosh. It is a remake of his own Tamil film Kanithan. Produced by Rajkumar Akella, and presented by B. Madhu, the film features Nikhil Siddharth and Lavanya Tripathi. Sam C. S. composed the film's music, while Navin Nooli handled the editing and Surya handled the cinematography.

Athiratha is a 2017 Indian Kannada action thriller film directed by Mahesh Babu. It stars Chethan Kumar and Latha Hegde, with Kabir Duhan Singh and Sadhu Kokila in supporting roles. The score and soundtrack are by Suraag and the cinematography is by Jai Anand.

It stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soundarya, Shilpa Shetty and music composed by Mani Sharma. The film completed 100 days run in 4 centres. The film remade in Tamil as Velayudham (2011) starring Vijay and also dubbed in Tamil as Kurukshetram and in Hindi as Mission Azad.

Bangaram (transl. Gold) is a 2006 Indian Telugu-language action film directed by Dharani. This film has Pawan Kalyan in the title role and Meera Chopra, Sanusha, Ashutosh Rana, Mukesh Rishi, Raja Abel, and Reema Sen in supporting roles.

The Call of the Wild is a 2007 documentary film by the independent filmmaker Ron Lamothe. The premise details the odyssey of Christopher McCandless as Lamothe takes a road trip across North America to the places McCandless visited. Within the film, Lamothe reaches conclusions about McCandless' death which contradict both Sean Penn's film Into the Wild (2007) and Jon Krakauer's book Into the Wild (1996), on which Penn's film was based.

Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu is a 2012 Indian Telugu-language political action film written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film stars Pawan Kalyan, Tamanna, and Gabriela Bertante in lead roles, while Prakash Raj and Kota Srinivasa Rao played supporting roles. Mani Sharma composed the score, Shyam K. Naidu directed cinematography, and S. R. Shekhar oversaw editing. It was the second collaboration between Kalyan and Jagannadh after Badri (2000). The film was released on 18 October 2012.

Desamuduru is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language romantic action film directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by DVV Danayya under the Universal Media banner. The film stars Allu Arjun and Hansika Motwani, while Pradeep Rawat and Ali play supporting roles. The movie was released on 12 January 2007 in 400 theatres. This movie is one of the most successful films in Allu Arjun's career. Rambha acted in an item number alongside him.

Dil Se.. is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film written and directed by Mani Ratnam, and produced by Ratnam, Ram Gopal Varma, and Shekhar Kapur. Set in the backdrop of Insurgency in Assam, the film stars Shahrukh Khan and Manisha Koirala, while Preity Zinta makes her film debut in a supporting role. Written by Ratnam and Tigmanshu Dhulia, the film is an example of parallel cinema and is noted as the final installment of Ratnam's thematic trilogy that consists of Roja (1992) and Bombay (1995). Though the film was shot mainly in Hindi-language, director Mani Ratnam also dubbed and released the film in Tamil and Malayalam in the title Uyire.. which became very popular among Tamil-audience with its songs and in Telugu with the title Prematho. Shah Rukh Khan's Tamil dialogues were dubbed by Arvind Swamy in the film.

Gaayam is a 1993 Telugu-language political thriller film, based on the 1980s Vijayawada Gang Warfare. Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, and story co-written by himself and Mani Ratnam, it stars Jagapathi Babu, Revathi, Urmila Matondkar and music composed by Sri. Upon its release, the film won six state Nandi Awards in 1993–94.

Ghost is a 2019 Indian horror thriller film written and directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Vashu Bhagnani Production. The film bankrolled by Loneranger Productions, features Sanaya Irani and Shivam Bhaargava in the lead roles. The story of the film follows Karan Khanna, a politician of Indian origin in the United Kingdom, who is accused of killing his wife. He tells his lawyer that a spirit committed the murder and should be tried. Principal photography commenced in November 2018 in London. It was released on 18 October 2019.

Into the Wild is a 2007 American biographical adventure drama film written, co-produced, and directed by Sean Penn. It is an adaptation of the 1996 non-fiction book of the same name written by Jon Krakauer and tells the story of Christopher McCandless, a man who hiked across North America into the Alaskan wilderness in the early 1990s. The film stars Emile Hirsch as McCandless and Marcia Gay Harden and William Hurt as his parents; it also features Jena Malone, Catherine Keener, Brian Dierker, Vince Vaughn, Kristen Stewart, and Hal Holbrook.

Ism is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language action film produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram under N. T. R. Arts banner and directed by Puri Jagannadh. It stars Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Aditi Arya and Jagapati Babu. The film marks Aditi Arya's debut as an actress, while Kalyan Ram's son Nandamuri Sourya Ram also makes his debut as a child artist. The music was composed by Anup Rubens. Junaid Siddiqui, Mukesh G and Johnny Shaik handled the editing, cinematography and Art direction respectively. It was shot in August 2016 in Valencia, Spain.

Kanithan is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by T. N. Santhosh and produced by S. Thanu. The film features Atharvaa and Catherine Tresa in the lead roles. Sivamani composed the film's music. Having begun production in 2013, the film was released in February 2016. The film was remade in Kannada as Athiratha (2017) and in Telugu as Arjun Suravaram (2019). It was dubbed in Hindi as the same Title by Goldmines Telefilms on 3 January 2020.

Kavan (transl. Catapult) is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language political thriller film, directed by K. V. Anand, written by Subha and Kabilan Vairamuthu and produced by AGS Entertainment. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Madonna Sebastian, with T. Rajendar, Vikranth, Pandiarajan, Akashdeep Saighal, Bose Venkat and Jagan in supporting roles. The film, which has a soundtrack and score composed by Hiphop Tamizha, began its production in July 2016. The film released on 31 March 2017, receiving positive reviews.

The film stars Jiiva, Ajmal Ameer, Piaa Bajpai and Karthika, in lead roles, while Prakash Raj and Kota Srinivasa Rao appear in supporting roles. The film follows Ashwin (Jiiva), a photojournalist working for Dina Anjal who covers the TamilNadu State Election.

Maryan is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language survival film directed by Bharat Bala, and produced by Venu Ravichandran, under the banner Aascar Films, starring Dhanush and Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead roles. The film has music and background score composed by A. R. Rahman; cinematography and editing were done by Marc Koninckx and Vivek Harshan respectively. The dialogues in the film were penned by Joe D' Cruz. Oscar-award winner Resul Pookutty was the sound designer of the film. Maryan is an emotional journey of a common man to an unknown place with the hope to come home and lead a better life. The film's title represents the character as "a man who never dies".
Mission Istanbul is a 2008 action thriller film starring Vivek Oberoi, Shriya Saran and Zayed Khan, whose plot points were copied from John Grisham's novel The Firm. The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, features Abhishek Bachchan in a special appearance. The Film is based on an organisation Al Johara which bears a resemblance to Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera which was criticized by the White House as being an outlet for terrorists. The film deals with the role of Al Johara based in Turkey, a NATO country with troops engaged in Afghanistan, and the role of Indian Intelligence agency R.A.W.

Mudhalvan is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language political action thriller film produced by R. Madhesh and S. Shankar written, and directed by S. Shankar. The film features Arjun and Manisha Koirala playing the lead with Raghuvaran playing the antagonist while Vadivelu and Manivannan feature in supporting roles. The film featured an award-winning soundtrack composed by A. R. Rahman, cinematography by K. V. Anand and dialogues by Sujatha.

Nayak: The Real Hero (transl. Hero) is a 2001 Indian Hindi-language political action film directed by S. Shankar and produced by A. M. Rathnam under the Sri Surya Movies banner. The film stars Anil Kapoor, with Rani Mukerji, Amrish Puri, Paresh Rawal, and Johnny Lever playing supporting roles. A remake of Shankar's 1999 Tamil-language film Mudhalvan, it focuses on Shivaji Rao Gaekwad (Kapoor), a television cameraman and, later, television presenter, who accidentally hears and records the conversation between the police with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Balraj Chauhan (Puri) to take an indifferent stand during riots triggered by a fight between college students and a bus driver. While interviewing Chauhan about the issues, Shivaji is challenged to take over his job for a day.

New Delhi is a 1987 Malayalam language conspiracy thriller film written by Dennis Joseph and directed by Joshiy and produced by Joy Thomas. It stars Mammootty, Sumalatha, Suresh Gopi, Urvashi, B. Thiagarajan, Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Mohan Jose, Devan, and Jagannatha Varma.New Delhi became the highest-grossing Malayalam film at that time. Making a box office collection of ₹ 2.5 crores, New Delhi broke all previous years' records.

Oomai Vizhigal is an Indian 1986 Tamil-language crime-action film directed by R. Aravindraj. It is an extended version of the short film Murder Echo made by college students. The film features Vijayakanth, Arun Pandian, Karthik, Chandrasekhar and Jaishankar, along with Ravichandran and Malaysia Vasudevan in negative role. It was released on 15 August 1986 and completed more than 150 days in theaters. The film became a blockbuster and was a profitable venture. The film was dubbed in Telugu as Marana Mandiram.

Pathram is a 1999 Indian Malayalam-language political thriller film written by Renji Panicker and directed by Joshi, starring Suresh Gopi, Manju Warrier, Murali, N. F. Varghese, Biju Menon, Abhirami.

Phantom is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Kabir Khan, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, and starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif in leading roles. The screenplay of the film was written in coordination with author Hussain Zaidi's book Mumbai Avengers on the aftermath of 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The film was released worldwide on 28 August 2015 to mixed reviews.

Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani is a 2000 Indian Hindi action thriller film released by Dreamz Unlimited on 21 January. The producers derived the title from lines of the song Mera joota hai Japani from the 1955 Raj Kapoor film Shree 420. Aziz Mirza directed stars Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, focusing on the TV media war. Ajay Bakshi and Ria Banerjee are two television reporters for rival news channels who try to save the life of a man who has been fixed by politicians for the death of his brother, from a death sentence. The film marked the first attempted by Khan, Chawla, and Mirza under their new production company Dreamz Unlimited, now Red Chillies Entertainment. This film won the IIFA Award for Best Special Effects.

Rann (transl. Battle) is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language political thriller film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sudeep, Riteish Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal, and Gul Panag. The film was premiered at Toronto International Film Festival.

Satyagraha is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language political drama film directed by Prakash Jha starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee, Mitalee Jagtap Varadkar, Jagat Singh and Vipin Sharma in the lead roles. The first look of the film was released on 10 September 2012. Satyagraha was released on 30 August 2013, although it released in the UAE one day before on 29 August. The teaser was released online on 30 May 2013 and theatrically attached with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Vangaveeti is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language biographical action film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film is based on the life of politician Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga, and his elder brother Vangaveeti Radha Krishna and their altercation with communist dominated Vijayawada of the 1970s-80s in Andhra Pradesh.

Zanjeer (transl. Shackles) is a 2013 Indian action film directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film is shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, the latter titled Thoofan (transl. Typhoon). A remake of the 1973 Hindi film of the same name, it stars Ram Charan and Priyanka Chopra with Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role in the Hindi version who is replaced by Srihari in Telugu. Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, and Mahie Gill play supporting roles. Reliance BIG Entertainment bought worldwide distribution rights for ₹1.05 billion (US$15 million). Upon release the film got mostly negative reviews.
