WThe Asia Game Show (亞洲遊戲展), also known as AGS, was an annual video game expo held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong. It was organized by MP International and sponsored by The Chamber of H.K. Computer Industry (香港電腦商會) and commonly held in December. The 2011 Asia Game Show was held from December 23 to December 26, and it broke previous attendance records with over 450,000 visitors.
WBlizzCon is an annual gaming convention held by Blizzard Entertainment to promote its major franchises including Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and Overwatch. The first BlizzCon was held in October 2005, and since then, all of the conventions have been held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, in the same metropolitan area as Blizzard's headquarters in Irvine. The convention features game-related announcements, previews of upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games and content, Q&A sessions and panels, costume contests, and playable versions of various Blizzard games. The closing night has featured concerts by The Offspring, Tenacious D, Foo Fighters, Ozzy Osbourne, Blink-182, Metallica, Linkin Park, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and Muse. A similar event was the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational, held outside the U.S. from 2004 to 2008.
WCanGames is an annual gaming convention that has taken place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, since 1977. It occurs every year on the Canadian May long weekend.
WCardhalla is a charity event that has been held at Gen Con since 1999. During the convention, a city is constructed out of donated trading card game cards. Near the end of the convention attendees are invited to throw coins at the city to destroy it. The thrown coins are collected and donated to charity. The motto is: "Build. Donate. Destroy."

Dragon Con has hosted the 1990 Origins Game Fair and the 1995 North American Science Fiction Convention (NASFiC).
WThe Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC), formerly the Emerald City Comicon, is an annual comic book convention taking place in Seattle, Washington. Originally taking place at the city's Qwest Field, the venue changed in 2008 to its current home at the Washington State Convention Center. The show expanded to a three-day event in 2011 and began using the entire convention center for the first time in 2013. In 2014, the Gaming portion of the show was moved to the third floor of the nearby Sheraton Seattle Hotel to make room for an expanded show floor.
WFallCon is the largest and only boardgame convention in Calgary, Alberta featuring a broad range of modern boardgames and miniatures. During the three day convention, attendees can learn new games by signing up for hosted game or check-out a game from the library in the open gaming session. The family friendly event also features a live auction Saturday night and a Flea Market Sunday morning. The 2017 event will be at SAIT.

It covers all types of gaming from video games and arcades to board games and tabletop games. The expo boasts a large vendor hall, video game lounge area, free-play arcades, tournaments, cosplay contests, panels, and a variety of special guests. The Game On Expo is also host of the annual event "Retro World Championships". This event is organized by Dorion Whitlock, Mike Iarossi (Nintendo PowerFest champion, Chris Tang, and Thor Aackerlund (original Nintendo World Championships champion. The Retro World Championships is sponsored by RetroUSB who provides a limited edition special Game On Expo edition cart as the main prize.

WGames Day is a yearly run gaming convention sponsored by Games Workshop. It was started in 1975, after another games convention scheduled for August that year cancelled. Games Workshop decided to fill the resulting gap by running a gaming day of their own. As a result, after some delays, the first Games Day was held at Seymour Hall, London on 20 December 1975. The convention was important because there were few outlets for gamers to meet each other and play, and Games Workshop used this in their efforts to build the gaming scene in the U.K.

WJump Festa is an annual party or exposition in Japan, all about manga and anime, sponsored by Shueisha, publisher of the various Jump anthologies which are Weekly Shōnen Jump, Jump Square, V Jump, Saikyō Jump and Shōnen Jump+. The exposition was started in 1999, and is held for two days in December with over 100,000 people attending every year. New manga, anime, films, games, and merchandise are introduced during this event. Manga artists of popular current and former Jump series are often on hand, and many of them have panels where they answer questions. The festival's mascot is named Kaizo-kun (KAIZOくん) and was designed by Akira Toriyama.

The event is owned by Pensacola Comic Convention LLC. The event offers celebrity meet and greets, discussion panels, workshops, film screenings, demonstrations, costume contests, and competitions. The event also offers investigations at local historic haunted locations such as the Pensacola Victorian Inn, the Pensacola Light House, the Pensacola Gray House, and the Pensacola Little Theater. A portion of the proceeds of the event are donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities and Making Strides with Breast Cancer and Ronald McDonald House. The convention is the first female African American owed comic convention in the USA.

It is usually held in October or November and is organized by the Game Developers Association of the Philippines, the local trade association for the game industry. WQueen's University Belfast Students' Union (QUBSU) is the official representative body for students at Queen's University Belfast. Membership in the Union is automatic and currently totals 24,560, making it one of the largest Unions on the island of Ireland, and one of the largest in the United Kingdom. The Students' Union derives its existence and authority from the University's Statutes, and so is not entirely independent of it, and must have amendments to its constitution approved by the University Senate. WThe Russian Game Developers' Conference, or KRI, was an annual event for industry professionals devoted to game development, publishing and distribution in Russia and surrounding territories. The show also featured the presentation of the annual KRI awards, a professional game awards. Attendance at KRI was relatively compared with some of the better-known game developer conferences abroad. However, this was mainly attributed to the population densities in the enormous geographic range that the conference covered and the difficulties in transportation. Back then Russian distribution video game networks were often plagued by software pirates. Due to the spread of digital distribution and the adoption Russian anti-piracy legislation, KRI grew each year, having been able to provide accommodation for attendants from afar. KRI also helped to establish and entrench various anti-piracy measures.

WTwitchCon is a convention that occurs twice a year, once in North America and once in Europe for the live streaming video platform, Twitch. The convention is organized by Twitch and its main focus is centered around the culture of video game streaming and video gaming in general. For streamers and content creators, it gives them an opportunity to seek improvements for their streams and grow their brand. It also provides fans with a unique chance to meet streamers, discover new products, play new games, and meet with online communities in real life. The first convention was held in 2015. Before 2019, they were all held at various convention centers in California until the first TwitchCon Europe in 2019, which took place in Berlin. The most recent convention was held on September 27–29, 2019 at the San Diego Convention Center. TwitchCon is hosted twice a year, once in North America, as a three-day-long event, and once in Europe, as a two-day-long event.

WThe World Boardgaming Championships is a convention held yearly since 1999 by the Boardgame Players Association. It was previously held in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, but it moved to the Seven Springs Mountain Resort in 2016. It is next scheduled for July 24 to August 1, 2021 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort near Pittsburgh, PA. This convention replaced Avaloncon, which had been run from 1991 to 1998 by Avalon Hill.
