WCheeta is a chimpanzee character that appeared in numerous Hollywood Tarzan films of the 1930s–1960s, as well as the 1966–1968 television series, as the ape sidekick of the title character, Tarzan. Cheeta has usually been characterized as male, but sometimes as female, and has been portrayed by chimpanzees of both sexes.
WChirakkal Kalidasan is a famous elephant, and has the potential to become the tallest elephant in Kerala because he is the second after the Thechikottukavu Ramachandran, the tallest elephant in India.
WCrystal is a female capuchin monkey and animal actress, acquired and trained by Birds & Animals Unlimited, Hollywood's largest supplier of animals. Her acting career began as a baby monkey in Disney's 1997 film George of the Jungle. More recently, she portrayed the annoying monkey Dexter in the Night at the Museum franchise, and a drug-dealing monkey in The Hangover Part II. In 2012, she played Dr. Rizzo on the sitcom Animal Practice.
WJimmy the raven was a raven who appeared in more than 1,000 feature films from the 1930s through the 1950s. He first appeared in You Can't Take It with You in 1938, after which director Frank Capra cast the bird in every subsequent movie he made. Among his roles were Uncle Billy's pet, seen in the Building & Loan in It's a Wonderful Life, and the crow that landed on the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz.
WJovian was a lemur, best known for portraying Zoboo in Zoboomafoo. Jovian sometimes shared the title role with his father.
WKeiko was a male captive killer whale captured near Iceland in 1979 who portrayed Willy in the 1993 film Free Willy. He is also notable for having been released back into the wild in Iceland in July 2002. He died in December 2003 in Norway of pneumonia.
WMr Percival was an Australian pelican, noted for his appearance in the 1976 Australian film Storm Boy. He was one of three trained pelicans used in the film, based on the novel of the same name. He lived at the Marineland aquarium until it closed in 1988, then at the Adelaide Zoo. Mr Percival, whose zoo name was Gringo, fathered seven chicks with partner Alto, the last in 2007. He died of old age on 2 September 2009.
