The Army Geospatial Center (AGC) is a Major Subordinate Command of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. It is located in Alexandria, Virginia, within the Humphreys Engineering Center adjacent to the Fort Belvoir military reservation.

The United States Army Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) is a tenant activity located at Fort Eustis, Virginia. It is a directorate of the Aviation Development Directorate under the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), a part of the Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM).

ECA-Sindel is an Italian company operating worldwide in the designing, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of professional tactical and operational naval simulators. ECA -Sindel produces also integrated systems for training purposes in joint warfare operations by land, sea and air, called "Joint Warfare Simulators".

Performance modelling is the abstraction of a real system into a simplified representation to enable the prediction of performance. The creation of a model can provide insight into how a proposed or actual system will or does work. This can, however, point towards different things to people belonging to different fields of work.

Geospatial Research Laboratory

The Geospatial Research Laboratory is a component of the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), a US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) laboratory organization whose mission is to "Provide science, technology, and expertise in engineering and environmental sciences in support of our Armed Forces and the Nation to make the world safer and better." The laboratory is colocated with the Army Geospatial Center in the Humphreys Engineer Center adjacent to Fort Belvoir. The headquarters is located in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on the site of an antecedent organization, the Waterways Experiment Station. GRL conducts geospatial research, development, technology and evaluation of current and emerging geospatial technologies that will help characterize and measure phenomena within the physical (terrain) and social (cultural) environments encountered by the Army. GRL research areas and capabilities include terrain analysis and reasoning; passive and active spectral signature analysis; fluorescence; photogrammetry; terrain visualization; precision surveying and mapping; image analysis; data management; geographic information systems; data/image fusion; and spatio-temporal reasoning and numerical analysis.

The Institute for Creative Technologies (ICT) is a research institute of the University of Southern California located in Playa Vista, California. ICT was established in 1999 with funding from the US Army.

Military simulations, also known informally as war games, are simulations in which theories of warfare can be tested and refined without the need for actual hostilities. Many professional analysts object to the term wargames as this is generally taken to be referring to the civilian hobby, thus the preference for the term simulation.

In manufacturing and design, a mockup, or mock-up, is a scale or full-size model of a design or device, used for teaching, demonstration, design evaluation, promotion, and other purposes. A mockup is a prototype if it provides at least part of the functionality of a system and enables testing of a design. Mock-ups are used by designers mainly to acquire feedback from users. Mock-ups address the idea captured in a popular engineering one-liner: You can fix it now on the drafting board with an eraser or you can fix it later on the construction site with a sledge hammer.

The Modeling and Simulation Coordination Office (M&SCO) is an organization within the United States Department of Defense that provides modeling and simulation technology. When it was created by Congress in 2006, it was named the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office (DMSO). In late 2007, the DMSO was renamed the Modeling and Simulation Coordination Office (M&SCO).

He is the cousin of the Former Prime Minister of Jordan, Ahmed Obaidat and received his M.S. and Ph.D. in computer engineering from the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA. He is known for his contributions in the fields of cybersecurity, Biometrics-based Cybersecurity, wireless networks, modeling and simulation, AI/Data Analytics. He served as President and Char of Board of Directors of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International, SCS, a Tenured Professor & Chair of Department of Computer Science at Monmouth University, Tenured Professor & Chair of Department of computer and Information Sciences at Fordham University, USA, Dean of College of Engineering at Prince Sultan University, and Advisor to the President of Philadelphia University for Research, Development and IT. He has chaired numerous international conferences and has given numerous keynote speeches.

Operational View (OV) is one of the basic views defined in the enterprise architecture (EA) of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework V1.5 (DoDAF) and is related with concept of operations. Simulation Councils, Inc. became The Society for Computer Simulation.

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC), formerly known as the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), a part of the U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM) — now CCDC, is primarily a civilian organization tasked to provide research, development and engineering technology and services to support U.S. Army aviation and missile platforms. AvMC conducts research, promotes development, engineering and simulation laboratories and facilities used to develop and improve aviation and missile components, subsystems and systems.

The United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (CCDCAC), or Armaments Center, headquartered at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey, is the US Army's primary research and development arm for armament and munitions systems. Besides its Picatinny headquarters, the Armaments Center has three other research facilities, including Benét Laboratories. The Armaments Center works to develop more advanced weapons using technologies such as microwaves, lasers and nanotechnology. United States Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity (AMSAA) is an analysis organization of the United States Army. The Combat Capabilities Development Command, (DEVCOM) is a subordinate command of the U.S. Army Futures Command. RDECOM was tasked with "creating, integrating, and delivering technology-enabled solutions" to the U.S. Army. Headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, RDECOM employed more than 13,000 scientists, engineers, researchers, and support personnel working at six major RDE centers and at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, providing nearly all of the Army's basic and applied research and development services, including in collaboration with other branches of the armed forces and through a network of more than a thousand academic, industrial, and international partners.

The United States Army Simulation and Training Technology Center (STTC) provides the United States Department of Defense and United States Department of Homeland Security with applied research to develop simulation technologies, build on current simulation knowledge, and understand system of systems environments where human, agent, and teams are involved.

The Office of the United States Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology is known as OASA(ALT). OASA(ALT) serves, when delegated, as the Army Acquisition Executive, the Senior Procurement Executive, the Science Advisor to the Secretary of the Army, and as the senior research and development official for the Department of the Army. The OASA(ALT) also has the principal responsibility for all Department of the Army matters related to logistics.
