WBeam bridges, also known as stringer bridges, are the simplest structural forms for bridge spans supported by an abutment or pier at each end. No moments are transferred throughout the support, hence their structural type is known as simply supported.
WThe Norfolk Southern–Gregson Street Overpass is a railroad bridge in Durham, North Carolina, United States, which was designed in the 1920s and built in 1940. The 81-year-old bridge allows passenger and freight trains to cross over South Gregson Street in downtown Durham. The bridge was built with a clearance for vehicles of 11 feet 8 inches (3.56 m). This was a standard height at the time it opened. The standard clearance, since 1973, has a minimum height of 14 feet (4.27 m), which is 2 feet 4 inches (0.71 m) higher than the bridge as built.
WAbbey Bridge is grade B listed road-bridge over the White Cart Water in the centre of Paisley in Scotland. It was erected in 1879, widened in 1933, and comprehensively restored in 2009.
WThe Agas-Agas Bridge is a prestressed concrete beam bridge on the Pan-Philippine Highway. The ₱1.024-billion bridge was funded partially by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. With a length of about 350 meters (1,150 ft) and a height of 89 meters (292 ft) above ground, the center span of the structure measures 177 meters (581 ft) in length supported by two piers measuring 73 meters (240 ft) and 75 meters (246 ft) from the ground.
WThe Aigiōhashi Bridge is a truss bridge over the Kiso River in Japan. It is an iron beam bridge which connects Kakamigahara in the Gifu Prefecture with Inuyama in the Aichi Prefecture. The bridge is part of Aichi-Gifu Prefectural Route 17, known as the Kōnanseki Route. The bridge is an essential link in the route from Nagoya and Komaki in Aichi Prefecture to Kakamigahara, Seki, and Gujō in Gifu Prefecture. Because there are no other bridges for 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) up- or downstream, the bridge is generally congested all day. The bridge was closed for a time in 1999 for maintenance.
WAlbert Bridge is a road bridge over the Tideway of the River Thames connecting Chelsea in Central London on the north, left bank to Battersea on the south. Designed and built by Rowland Mason Ordish in 1873 as an Ordish–Lefeuvre system modified cable-stayed bridge, it proved to be structurally unsound, so between 1884 and 1887 Sir Joseph Bazalgette incorporated some of the design elements of a suspension bridge. In 1973 the Greater London Council added two concrete piers, which transformed the central span into a simple beam bridge. As a result, today the bridge is an unusual hybrid of three different design styles. It is an English Heritage Grade II* listed building.

WThe Bolsøy Bridge is a concrete beam bridge in Molde Municipality, Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The bridge crosses the Bolsøysund strait between the mainland and the island of Bolsøya. Bolsøy Bridge was opened in 1991 as part of County Road 64, and together with the Fannefjord Tunnel, they form a ferry-free connection from the town of Molde and the island of Bolsøya to the village of Nesjestranda on the mainland.
WThe BP Pedestrian Bridge, or simply BP Bridge, is a girder footbridge in the Loop community area of Chicago, United States. It spans Columbus Drive to connect Maggie Daley Park with Millennium Park, both parts of the larger Grant Park. Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry and structurally engineered by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, it opened along with the rest of Millennium Park on July 16, 2004. Gehry had been courted by the city to design the bridge and the neighboring Jay Pritzker Pavilion, and eventually agreed to do so after the Pritzker family funded the Pavilion.

The bridge was built by the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission. The 2,465-foot-long (751 m) bridge is a multiple span dual roadway with a steel plate structure. The roadways are 28 feet (8.5 m) wide each and separated from each other by a concrete Jersey barrier.
WThe Drežnik Viaduct is located in Karlovac, Croatia, immediately to the south of the Karlovac interchange on the A1 motorway. It is the longest viaduct in Croatia, spanning 2,485 metres (8,153 ft). It is executed in seven segments, separated by expansion joints. The viaduct was constructed by Konstruktor, Split, as the main contractor, and Viadukt and Hidroelektra of Zagreb as subcontractors in 2000 and 2001.

The original bridge was named for Sam White, a former homesteader in the nearby city of Pleasant Grove. It had only 14 feet 7 inches (4.45 m) underpass clearance. The new bridge has an underpass clearance of 17 feet 3 inches (5.26 m), which exceeds the minimum standard for interstate bridges in the United States.

WThe Torréns Bridge is a historic bridge over the Rosario River in Hormigueros municipality, Puerto Rico. It was built in 1878 in a beam bridge structure with lattice girders and transverse joists, a design unique in the later territory of the United States. It is named for Modesto Torréns Morales, mayor of Hormigueros from 1875 to 1879, during a period when the municipality advocated for improved transportation linkages from the settlement of Hormigueros to the rest of the island. Improvement of the difficult Rosario River crossing on the road from the town to the main highway south of the river was seen as critical to economic development, especially after Hormigueros municipality separated from San Germán in 1874. In 1898 during the Spanish–American War, the Torréns Bridge was captured by the U.S. Army to aid its advance during the Battle of Hormigueros and subsequent march on Mayagüez.
