WA drop tower or big drop is a type of amusement ride incorporating a central structure or tower. Drop towers vary in height, passenger capacity, lift type, and brake type. Many are custom-made, although there are some mass-produced designs. Riders experience free-fall initially, followed by rapid heavy deceleration.
WAcrophobia is a free-fall tower ride located at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, Georgia. The attraction was designed by Intamin of Switzerland, and is marketed by Intamin's Liechtenstein-based subsidiary Ride Trade. When Acrophobia opened to the public on May 12, 2001, it became the first free-fall attraction of its kind in the world.
WApocalypse is a 54-metre-high (177 ft) freefall tower ride located at Drayton Manor Theme Park, England.
WAtmosFear is a 116-metre-tall (381 ft) drop tower located in Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden, and is the second tallest drop tower in Europe. AtmosFear is designed by Intamin and drops riders from a height of 90 metres (300 ft).
WAtmosFEAR is a 140-foot (43 m) drop tower on the Surfside Pier at Morey's Piers amusement park in New Jersey. It was designed by A.R.M. and Larson International, and officially opened in May 2005.
WThe Batwing Spaceshot is a thrill ride located at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, Australia. It opened on 20 December 2006. The ride is an S&S Space Shot, a pneumatic powered ride which shoots riders up and then back down. The rise reaches a height of 61 metres (200 ft) and riders experience a force of up to 4 Gs while travelling at a speed of 64 kilometres per hour (40 mph). It carries 360 passengers per hour, and lasts for 50 seconds. The ride opened almost one year after the opening of the Superman Escape roller coaster, which opened on 26 December 2005.

WBig Shot is a pneumatically powered tower ride. It was at one time the world's highest amusement ride in terms of overall elevation above ground level. The 160 feet (49 m) tower is built atop the 921 feet (281 m) high deck of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. The world's highest amusement ride in terms of overall elevation above ground level is currently the Sky Drop built atop the 1,492 feet (455 m) high deck of the Canton Tower in Guangzhou. The new Sky Drop reaches a height of 1,591 feet (485 m) above ground level, 510 feet (160 m) higher than Big Shot.
WDemon Drop is a drop tower amusement ride at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom. Designed by Intamin, it is a Freefall model that was originally located at Cedar Point when it first opened to the public in 1983. It was relocated to Dorney Park following the 2009 season and reopened in 2010. It is one of the oldest of its kind still in operation.
WDetonator: Bombs Away is a tower ride at Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey, England, UK. It was manufactured by Fabbri and is a 'Mega Drop Tower'. It opened in 2001 along with two other 'flat' rides, Vortex and Zodiac. It is around 115 ft (35 m) and is not released via a computer. The ride operator at the bottom has a button which he/she can press to make the car go at any time once the car has reached the top. Once released, the car is fired downwards by pneumatics rather than simply falling under gravity, the ride reaches a speed of 46 mph at the base of the drop, giving the impression of weightlessness for riders. For the 2011 season on ride photos were added. These were later removed in the 2013 season. The ride made a world record for most g force on a free fall ride with 5.5.

Manufactured by Intamin subsidiary Intaride, the ride reaches a maximum height of 335 feet (102 m), making it North America's tallest free-standing drop tower. Riders experience about five seconds of free fall, reaching a speed of 60 miles per hour (100 km/h). The ride's name was chosen to invoke a falcon's ability to dive steeply at high speed to capture prey.

Based on the Marvel Comics characters, it depicts Rocket Raccoon recruiting guests to attempt to free the remaining Guardians of the Galaxy from display within the Collector's fortress.
WHurakan Condor is a 'giant drop' ride located in PortAventura Park, in the resort PortAventura World, Catalonia, Spain. It was manufactured by Intamin, consists of 5 cars around a central tube which is around 376 feet (115 m) tall. Riders are four abreast and are brought to a height of 283 feet (86 m) by a coupler. The car slowly tilts forward as it climbs the last few feet. As the camera flash goes off, the coupler detaches, letting riders freefall around 283 feet (86 m) at 71.46 miles per hour (115.00 km/h). The car then slowly drops back into the station. The ride and queues are intensively themed around a Mexican background, in order to fit in with the Mexico area of the park. Depending on which side of the tower the rider boards the ride experience differs greatly. Riders can either sit regularly, sit in tilting seats or ride standing, but without a floor.

WThe Maliboomer was an attraction at the Paradise Pier section of Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, US. Manufactured by S&S Power, Mailboomer was a Space Shot attraction, meaning it launched guests from the bottom of the tower instead of slowly lifting them to the top and dropping them from there. The ride was pneumatically powered, with three connected towers, each with its own independent ride system. It also contained "Scream Shields", used to block the screams from reaching residents of Anaheim and neighboring Garden Grove as the park is located near a residential area.
WPitt Fall was a drop tower ride located at Kennywood amusement park in the Pittsburgh suburb of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. The ride was the first one at Kennywood to be manufactured by Intamin. It was themed after a Pitfall trap, but spelled with two "t"'s as in an abbreviation of Pittsburgh. When it opened in 1997, it was the tallest drop tower in the world. The ride was manufactured by Intamin and is known in the industry as "Giant Drop".
WPower Tower is a thrill ride located at two Cedar Fair parks in the US, Cedar Point and Valleyfair. The attractions are powered by air in large cylinders in which an aircraft steel cable, connected to the internal piston, travels and is also connected to the external rider car. Hydraulic cylinders at the base of the tower provide an extra measure of safety in case of a ride malfunction. Both rides were designed and manufactured by S&S Worldwide of Logan, Utah. As of the 2020 season from their respective websites, both changed their height requirements from 52 inches (130 cm) to 48 inches (120 cm).

WSuperman: Tower of Power is a drop tower ride currently located at three Six Flags parks, and a former installment at Kentucky Kingdom. Two of the four drop towers were manufactured by Intamin, while the Six Flags Over Georgia version was made by Zamperla, and the Six Flags Over Texas version was made by S&S. The installment at Kentucky Kingdom was demolished after an accident that maimed a teenage girl.
