EquuleusW
Equuleus

Equuleus is a constellation. Its name is Latin for "little horse", a foal. It was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy, and remains one of the 88 modern constellations. It is the second smallest of the modern constellations, spanning only 72 square degrees. It is also very faint, having no stars brighter than the fourth magnitude.

3 EquuleiW
3 Equulei

3 Equulei is a single star located in the small northern constellation of Equuleus. It is faintly visible to the naked eye at an apparent visual magnitude of 5.6. Based upon an annual parallax shift of 4.24 mas, 3 Equulei is roughly 770 light-years distant from Earth, give or take an 80 light-year margin of error. At that distance, the apparent brightness of the star is diminished by 0.15 in visual magnitude because of extinction from interstellar gas and dust.

Alpha EquuleiW
Alpha Equulei

Alpha Equulei, officially named Kitalpha, is a star in the constellation of Equuleus. It is a high proper motion star only 190 light years away.

Gamma EquuleiW
Gamma Equulei

Gamma Equulei, Latinized from γ Equulei, is a double star in the northern constellation of Equuleus. It is located at a distance of around 118 light-years from Earth and has a slightly variable apparent visual magnitude around 4.7.

NGC 7015

NGC 7015 is a spiral galaxy located about 203 million Light-years away from Earth in the constellation Equuleus. NGC 7015's calculated velocity is 4881 km/s. NGC 7015 was discovered by French astronomer Édouard Stephan on September 29, 1878. It is also part of a group of galaxies called [CHM2007] LDC 1450.

NGC 7040W
NGC 7040

NGC 7040 Is a spiral galaxy located about 260 million light-years away in the constellation of Equuleus. It has an estimated diameter of 42,600 light-years. NGC 7040 was discovered by astronomer Mark Harrington on August 18, 1882.
