
Attack on Titan: No Regrets is a Japanese manga series written by Gun Snark and illustrated by Hikaru Suruga, based on a visual novel of the same name. The series is a spinoff of Hajime Isayama's popular Attack on Titan manga. The story follows Levi before he joins the Survey Corps.

Avatar: The Last Airbender – North and South is the fifth graphic novel trilogy created as a continuation of Avatar: The Last Airbender television series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. The first comic in the trilogy was published on September 28, 2016, the second on February 7, 2017, and the final one on April 26, 2017.

It is a continuation of Avatar: The Last Airbender and a prequel to The Legend of Korra, both animated TV series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Part 1 was released on March 5, 2014, Part 2 was released on July 29, 2014, and Part 3 was released on November 18, 2014. It takes place after the events of the graphic novel Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Search. It is followed by the Smoke and Shadow trilogy.

"Batman: Year One" is an American comic book story arc published by DC Comics which recounts the superhero Batman's first year as a crime-fighter. It was written by Frank Miller, illustrated by David Mazzucchelli, colored by Richmond Lewis, and lettered by Todd Klein. Batman: Year One originally appeared in issues #404–407 of the comic book title Batman in 1987. As well as recounting Batman's beginnings and early years in his crime-fighting career, the story simultaneously examines the life of recently transferred Gotham police detective James Gordon – eventually building towards their first encounter and their eventual alliance against Gotham's criminal underworld.

Before Watchmen is a series of comic books published by DC Comics in 2012. Acting as a prequel to the 1986 12-issue Watchmen limited series by writer Alan Moore and artist Dave Gibbons, the project consists of eight limited series and one one-shot for a total of 37 issues.

Fairy Tail Zero is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. The series is a prequel to Mashima's Fairy Tail manga, depicting the events leading to the formation of the titular wizards' guild. It was released in Monthly Fairy Tail from July 2014 to July 2015, running 13 issues, and was later published as a single volume by Kodansha USA in North America. The eighth season of the Fairy Tail anime television series included an adaptation of Fairy Tail Zero, which aired in 2016 from January 9 to March 12.

The Last Airbender Prequel: Zuko's Story is a graphic novel written by Dave Roman and Alison Wilgus and illustrated by Nina Matsumoto. It is a prequel to The Last Airbender film, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, and was released on May 18, 2010. It is set before the events of The Last Airbender and centers around the character of Zuko immediately following his banishment. The characters were drawn to look as they do in the film, but characters who weren't in the film—such as Mai and Ty Lee—were drawn according to their original designs from the Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series.

Let Me In: Crossroads is a limited comic book series created by Hammer Films and Dark Horse Comics, and written by Marc Andreyko. Serving as a prequel to the 2010 film of the same name, the series focuses on Abby and her "guardian" Thomas as they face a ruthless real-estate tycoon willing to do anything to steal the property they call home, as the community is torn apart by vicious men consumed by greed, wrath, and envy.

Mad Max: Fury Road is a limited comic book series created by George Miller, Nico Lathouris, and Mark Sexton. Serving as a prequel to the 2015 film of the same name, in addition to bridging the events of the film with Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, the series focuses on several characters from the film at various points in their lives before it.

Magi: Adventure of Sinbad is a Japanese manga series written by Shinobu Ohtaka and illustrated by Yoshifumi Ohtera. It is a spin-off and a prequel of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. It was first serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from May to June 2013, before being moved to Shogakukan's website Ura Sunday in September of the same year and published until April 2018. Its chapters were collected in nineteen tankōbon volumes.

Marvel Zombies: Dead Days is a comic book one-shot first published in May 2007 by Marvel Comics. It was written by Robert Kirkman and drawn by Sean Phillips, with cover art by Arthur Suydam. It is part of the Marvel Zombies series. The issue is a prequel to Marvel's first Marvel Zombies limited series, which had the same creative team. The story shows the events of the zombie plague first infecting the Marvel Zombies Universe.

Mr. Tonegawa: Middle Management Blues is a Japanese manga series written by Tensei Hagiwara and illustrated by Tomohiro Hashimoto and Tomoki Miyoshi. It is a spin-off of the main series Kaiji by Nobuyuki Fukumoto. The series comically depicts the struggles and conflicts of Tonegawa, a middle manager who is an executive of the Teiai Group and leads a large number of blacksuits, but is most concerned about the mood of the tyrannical Chairman Hyōdō. It was serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine from June 2015 to January 2018, and later moved to Comic Days manga app in March 2018 and finished in June 2020.
