
Christmas music comprises a variety of genres of music regularly performed or heard around the Christmas season. Music associated with Christmas may be purely instrumental, or in the case of carols or songs may employ lyrics whose subject matter ranges from the nativity of Jesus Christ, to gift-giving and merrymaking, to cultural figures such as Santa Claus, among other topics. Many songs simply have a winter or seasonal theme, or have been adopted into the canon for other reasons.

"100 Degrees" is a song by Australian singer-songwriter Kylie Minogue, with her sister Dannii Minogue. The track was the second single from Kylie's album Kylie Christmas. It was released on 13 November 2015 by Parlophone and Warner Bros. Records. An alternate version of the song was released on 1 April 2016, "100 Degrees ", without the word "Christmas".

"Apocalypso " is a Christmas song by Australian band Mental As Anything, released in 1984. The song reached at number 37 on the Kent Music Report. The song was written by Martin Plaza and Reg Mombassa.

"The Best Side of Life" is a song by German recording artist Sarah Connor. It was released by X-Cell Records as the lead single from the 2006 reissue of her first Christmas album, Christmas in My Heart (2005), accompanying the release of Connor's DVD of the same name. Written by Marc Lennard and Achim Heider under his pseudonym JoHo HF, the Christmas song was produced by frequent collaborators, duo Kay D. and Rob Tyger. A midtempo love song, the instrumentation includes bell chimes and harp sounds. The song's lyrics declare that the protagonist wants for Christmas to be united with her lover and family for the holidays.

"Christmas in My Heart" is a song by German singer–songwriter Sarah Connor. It was her first Christmas single and the lead single from her first Christmas album, Christmas in My Heart (2005). Male vocals were provided by Naturally 7 member Dwight Stewart.

"Christmas in the Sun" is a Christmas song by Rolf Harris and Rick Parfitt, released in 2009. It was included in the compilation box set album It's Christmas Time. The single was released on 7 December 2009 and it was written by Parfitt, Harris, Hal Shaper and Andy Bown.

"Christmas Time" is a song by Canadian rock singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. It was written by Adams and Jim Vallance and became Adams' most popular Christmas song. It was originally released on clear, green vinyl with a picture sleeve. It was written and recorded in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. No music video was shot for the song when it was originally released, but on December 10, 2019, Adams released a video for the song on YouTube. Over thirty years after it was first recorded, the song still receives significant radio airplay each year during the Christmas season.

"Christmas Without You" is a song by American singer Ava Max, released through Atlantic Records on October 15, 2020. It was written by Max, Jesse Aicher, Sam Martin, and producers Gian Stone and Cirkut.

"December Will Be Magic Again" is a festive-themed song by English singer-songwriter Kate Bush. It was released as a single in the UK in November 1980.

"Do They Know It's Christmas?" is a song written in 1984 by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in reaction to television reports of the 1983–1985 famine in Ethiopia. It was first recorded in a single day on 25 November 1984 by Band Aid, a supergroup put together by Geldof and Ure and consisting mainly of the biggest British and Irish musical acts at the time. The single was released in the United Kingdom on 3 December 1984 and aided by considerable publicity it entered the UK Singles Chart at number one and stayed there for five weeks, becoming the Christmas number one of 1984. The record became the fastest selling single in UK chart history, selling a million copies in the first week alone and passing three million sales on the last day of 1984, on the way to displacing Wings's "Mull of Kintyre" as the biggest-selling single of all time in the UK. It held this title until 1997 when it was overtaken by Elton John's "Candle in the Wind 1997", released in tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales following her death. The original version of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" has sold 3.8 million copies in the UK to date. In a UK-wide poll in December 2012, it was voted sixth on the ITV television special The Nation's Favourite Christmas Song.

"Don't Save It All for Christmas Day" is a song by Canadian recording artist Celine Dion. It was written by Peter Zizzo, Ric Wake, and Dion for her first English-language holiday album These Are Special Times (1998), while Wake also served as its producer. The pop ballad was issued as a promotional single on 4 December 2000, two years after album's original release.

"Go to Sleep" is a song by Belgian singer Loïc Nottet, released on 22 December 2017 for digital download by Sony Music Entertainment. Written and produced by Nottet, the song was released in celebration of Christmas. Musically it is a minimally produced piano ballad whose lyrics discuss love and friendship in difficult times. Music critics gave positive reviews of "Go to Sleep", praising the song's message and nature, as well as Nottet's vocal delivery.

"I'm Growing a Beard Downstairs for Christmas" is a song by Australian singer songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke and Australian comedy rock group The Beards released on 27 November 2015.

"It's Not Christmas Till Somebody Cries" is a Christmas song by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen, released on October 30, 2020. The song is about "expectation versus reality" when it comes to holiday celebrations and "the antics of a dyfunctional family holiday gathering".

"Jing! Jingeling! Der Weihnachtsschnappi!" is a 2005 song released by animated German crocodile, Schnappi. It was the first single from the second album Schnappi's Winterfest and was released on November 25, 2005.

"Keeping the Dream Alive" is a 1988 song by German pop and rock band Münchener Freiheit - also known as Freiheit in English-speaking countries - taken from their album Fantasy. The music was written by Aron Strobel and Stefan Zauner with lyrics by Timothy Touchton and Curtis Briggs, and the song was arranged by Andrew Powell, Armand Volker and Stefan Zauner. It was recorded in Abbey Road Studios and mastered by Tonstudio Rico Sonderegger, with Volker as the producer. The performance by Münchener Freiheit with the London Symphony Orchestra included featuring of additional vocals by the Jackson Singers.

"Last Christmas" is a song by English pop duo Wham!, released on Epic Records, and internationally on MCA Records in December 1984, on a double A-side with "Everything She Wants". It was written and produced by George Michael, and has been covered by many artists since its original release.

"Lonely Christmas" is the third single album, and fifth single overall by Crayon Pop. It was released on November 26, 2013 by Chrome Entertainment and Sony Music. The song was a Christmas follow-up to the successful "Bar Bar Bar". Pops in Seoul described it as "a dance song with funk and disco sounds".

"Mary's Boy Child / Oh My Lord" is a 1978 Christmas single by Boney M., a cover of Harry Belafonte's 1956 hit, put in medley with the new song "Oh My Lord" (Farian/Jay).

Meri Kuri is BoA's 14th Japanese solo single also 3rd Korean solo single. Two versions of the single were released simultaneously in both Japan and Korea. The songs were sung in Japanese on the version sold in Japan, and in Korean on the version sold in Korea. The promotional video was publicly released on her 18th birthday and was shot at the Chapel on the Water and Ochiai Station in Hokkaidō.

"Merry Christmas from BoA" is the winter special album by BoA, released digitally on December 7, 2005. One of the songs, "First snow" was on her 4th Japanese studio album Outgrow as a bonus track.

"Mistletoe" is a pop and R&B song, that has reggae influences. "Mistletoe" received generally positive reviews from most music critics. The song reached the top ten in Canada, Denmark and Norway, and slightly missed the top 10 in the US, peaking at 11, while also reaching the top forty in nine other countries. The song's accompanying music video was directed by Roman White. It features the singer singing on a snowy, lit-up street.

"Mon plus beau Noël" is a 2005 song recorded by French singer Johnny Hallyday. It was the second single on his album Ma Vérité on which it features as eighth track, and was released on December 2005 as a Christmas song. It was successful in Belgium (Wallonia), and particularly in France where it was Hallyday's third number-one single.

"Noël, que du bonheur" is a 2005 song recorded by the French singer Ilona. It was the fourth single from her first album Un Monde parfait and was released in the first days of December 2005. As the title suggests it, it is a Christmas song and it hit the top ten in France and Belgium (Wallonia).

"Thank U For" is a digital single released by South Korean singer XIA, intended to be a Christmas Eve present for his fans. The song was written by Japanese producers Shikata and Reo, with lyrics penned by XIA's twin brother, Juno and Kim Ji-na. Released on December 24, it debuted atop the daily charts. "Thank U For" peaked at number 9 on the weekly chart by South Korea's record chart Gaon. The song was performed live at XIA's year-end concert "2012 XIA Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra".

"Tinsel and Marzipan" was a single released by Pugwash and Friends in Ireland in December 2006. All proceeds from the sale of the single were donated to the Irish Epilepsy Association Brainwave. The song, which charted in Ireland at #31 in the first week of its release before eventually moving up to #23, was produced by the band themselves.

Weihnachtslieder, Op. 8, is a song cycle of six lieder related to Christmas by Peter Cornelius, who set his own poems for voice and piano in 1856. The full title is: Weihnachtslieder : ein Cyklus für eine Singstimme mit Pianofortebegleitung : Op. 8 / Text und Musik von Peter Cornelius. Cornelius dedicated the songs to his sister, Elisabeth Schily. The song "Die Könige" about the Biblical Magi has been translated and published separately. English versions come under the title "The Three Kings". It incorporates in the piano accompaniment Philipp Nicolai's hymn "Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern".

"Wonderful Christmastime" is a Christmas song by English musician Paul McCartney. Recorded during the sessions for his solo album McCartney II (1980), it was released in November 1979 following Wings' final album Back to the Egg earlier that year. It was McCartney's first solo single since Wings formed.

"Zion's Daughter" is a 1982 Christmas single by German band Boney M., the second single to be released off their Christmas Album, released in November 1981. It was a re-worked up-tempo version of See, the conqu'ring hero comes!, a chorus from Georg Friedrich Händel's 1746 oratorio Judas Maccabaeus with English lyrics by Fred Jay. The tune is also used for the German advent hymn Tochter Zion, freue dich and the English hymn Thine Be the Glory, and is well known in England as part of Henry Wood's Fantasia on British Sea Songs (1905), performed every year at the BBC's Last Night of the Proms concert.
