
Alabaster is a manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka, published in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion from December 1970 to June 1971. Digital Manga successfully crowdfunded the publication of the manga in English in 2015.

Alice in Borderland is a Japanese suspense manga series written and illustrated by Haro Aso. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Shōnen Sunday S magazine from November 2010 to March 2015, and later moved to Weekly Shōnen Sunday in April 2015 and finished in March 2016.

B: The Beginning is an original net animation (ONA) anime series created by Production I.G and animator and character designer Kazuto Nakazawa. The series premiered on March 2, 2018, worldwide on Netflix. A second season will premiere in 2021.

Babylon is a Japanese novel series written by Mado Nozaki and illustrated by Zain. A manga adaptation by Nobuhide Takishita was published in 2019, and an anime television series adaptation by Revoroot aired from October 6, 2019 to January 27, 2020 which was streamed worldwide on Amazon Video.

Black Jack is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka in the 1970s, dealing with the medical adventures of the title character, doctor Black Jack.

Blank Slate , is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Aya Kanno. The manga was serialized in Hakusensha's manga magazine Bessatsu Hana to Yume. The individual chapters were collected into two bound volumes,which were published by Hakusensha on September 16, 2005 and June 19, 2006. It was licensed in English by Viz Media, which released the manga's two volumes on October 7, 2008 and December 2, 2008, with the e-book versions released on January 29, 2013 and February 12, 2013, respectively. The manga has been localized in France by Delcourt and in Taiwan by Ever Glory Publishing.

Blood on the Tracks is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shūzō Oshimi. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior magazine since February 2017, and collected into nine tankōbon volumes as of August 2020.

Blood+ is a Japanese anime television series produced by Production I.G and Aniplex and directed by Junichi Fujisaku. The series was broadcast on MBS and TBS from October 2005 to September 2006. Blood+ is licensed for international distribution in several regions through Sony Pictures' international arm, Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI).

Bloody Monday is a Japanese manga series written by Ryumon Ryo and illustrated by Megumi Koji. The series had been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine by Kodansha from March 2007 to April 2009, with individual chapters collected into eleven tankōbon volume as of May 15, 2009, and a total of 96 chapters altogether. The manga has also been adapted into a drama series, which aired on October 11, 2008, starring Haruma Miura. The second season of the manga began in Weekly Shōnen Magazine number 46 released on October 14, 2009, and the second season of the drama adaption began airing on January 23, 2010. Kodansha's USA division released the first volume in June 2011.

Bus Gamer is a Japanese manga series created by Kazuya Minekura. It only exists as a single volume 'Pilot Edition' due to difficulties in serialization. The manga has been licensed for North American distribution by Tokyopop. The series follows the story of three young men hired by a mysterious company to participate in a business game, in which companies gamble against each other for corporate secrets. It has also produced a drama CD featuring the voices of Kenichi Suzumura, Junichi Suwabe, and Hiroki Takahashi. An anime adaptation of the manga premiered on the Japanese television network KBS Kyoto between March 14 and March 28, 2008, airing a total of three episodes. It is directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya, produced by Frontier Works, and animated by Studio Izena. The characters are voiced by the same voice actors in the drama CD.

Chaos;Head is a 2008 anime television series created by Madhouse based on 5pb. and Nitroplus's video game of the same name, and is part of the Science Adventure franchise. It is set in Shibuya, Tokyo, and follows Takumi Nishijo, a high school student who develops paranoia and delusions after having witnessed one of a series of murders. He meets several girls who have an interest in him, and who he suspects might have a connection to the murders. He eventually learns of the existence of people with the power to project delusions onto others' minds, and of an organization using a machine to do so artificially for their own gain.

Durarara!! , often shortened to DRRR!!, is a Japanese light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita, with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda, that has also been adapted into a Japanese anime series. Durarara!! tells the story of a dullahan working as an underworld courier in Ikebukuro, an internet-based anonymous gang called the Dollars, and the chaos that unfolds around the most dangerous people in Ikebukuro. The series ran for thirteen volumes, published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint.

Enigma, stylized as ǝnígmǝ , is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Kenji Sakaki. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from September 2010 to October 2011.

Ergo Proxy is a Japanese cyberpunk suspense anime television series, produced by Manglobe, directed by Shūkō Murase and written by Dai Satō. The series ran for 23 episodes from February to August 2006 on the WOWOW satellite network. It is set in a post-apocalyptic utopian future where humans and AutoReiv androids coexist peacefully until a virus gives the androids self-awareness, causing them to commit a series of murders. Inspector Re-L Mayer is assigned to investigate, discovering a more complicated plot behind it that involves a humanoid species known as "Proxy" who are the subject of secret government experiments.

The Flowers of Evil is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shūzō Oshimi. It was serialized in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine between September 2009 and May 2014. The story follows a middle school student named Takao Kasuga who's forced into a "contract" by fellow student Sawa Nakamura, after being caught stealing the gym clothes of his crush Nanako Saeki, and the series of events afterwards that follow these three characters. The title of the manga comes from Charles Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal.

Ghost Hound is an anime television series, created by Production I.G and Masamune Shirow, noted for being the creator of the Ghost in the Shell series. The original concept and design was first developed by Shirow in 1987. It is Production I.G's 20th anniversary project and was first announced at the 2007 Tokyo International Anime Fair.

Himitsu – Top Secret is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Reiko Shimizu. It has been serialized in Melody.

Hitsuji no Ki is a Japanese manga series written by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and illustrated by Mikio Igarashi. Published by Kodansha, it was serialized in the seinen manga magazine Evening from June 2011 to April 2014, with its chapters compiled into five tankōbon volumes. A live action film adaptation directed by Daihachi Yoshida was released in Japan in February 2018.

Honey Bitter is Japanese josei manga by Miho Obana, serialized in Shueisha's Cookie from February 2004 to December 1, 2018. In honor of the twentieth anniversary of Miho Obana's debut, a crossover between Honey Bitter and Kodocha called Deep Clear was released in 2010.

Innocent is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Sakamoto. It was published in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump from January 2013 to April 2015, and compiled into nine tankōbon volumes. A sequel, Innocent Rouge, was serialized in Grand Jump from May 2015 to January 2020, and compiled into twelve tankōbon volumes. Innocent's story follows the Sanson family of executioners in France before the French Revolution, and centers around siblings Charles-Henri Sanson and Marie-Joseph Sanson.

Kagewani is a Japanese horror anime television series centered around scientist Sousuke Banba and his encounters with Unidentified Mysterious Animals or "UMAs." The series of shorts premiered on 2 October 2015 on Tokyo MX and BS11 as part of the Ultra Super Anime Time programming block. The series was simulcast by Crunchyroll. A second season titled Kagewani: Shō aired from April 1, 2016 to June 23, 2016.

Gambling Apocalypse: Kaiji is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nobuyuki Fukumoto. It has been published by Kodansha in Weekly Young Magazine since February 1996. The story centers on Kaiji Itō, a consummate gambler and his misadventures around gambling. The series has currently been divided into six parts. The current part, Tobaku Datenroku Kaiji: 24 Oku Dasshutsu-hen, started in 2017.

Kasane (累-かさね-) is a Japanese suspense seinen manga series written and illustrated by Daruma Matsuura. It was published by Kodansha in Evening magazine from April 2013 to August 2018, with its chapters compiled into fourteen tankōbon volumes. A live-action film adaptation was released in September 2018.

The Limit is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Keiko Suenobu.

MW is a manga series by Osamu Tezuka. It was originally serialized in Shogakukan's Big Comic in Japan, from 1976–78, and was published in English translation by Vertical Inc. in 2007. Vertical's edition earned it a nomination for Eisner Award at the category "Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Japan," but it lost to Tekkonkinkreet. A Japanese film adaptation was released in July 2009. A thriller, MW follows a fictional Japanese priest, Father Garai, his lifelong connection to serial killer Michio Yuki, and a mysterious chemical weapon "MW" developed by the Occupying American Force in Japan.

Night Head 2041 is an upcoming Japanese anime television series based on the 1992 Japanese television drama series Night Head . The series is animated by Shirogumi, directed by Takamitsu Hirakawa and written by George Iida, the director of the original drama. Original character designs are provided by Oh! great, while Kenichiro Tomiyasu is drawing the concept art. Yutaka Yamada is composing the series' music, and Slow Curve is credited for planning and production. It is scheduled to premiere on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block in July 2021.

Occultic;Nine is a Japanese light novel series written by Chiyomaru Shikura, the creator of Steins;Gate. The series is licensed in English by J-Novel Club. A manga, illustrated by Ganjii, began serialization in October 2015. An anime television series adaptation by A-1 Pictures aired between 9 October 2016 and 25 December 2016.

Old Boy is a Japanese manga series written by Garon Tsuchiya and illustrated by Nobuaki Minegishi. The narrative follows the protagonist Shinichi Gotō, a man who, after a decade of incarceration in a private prison, is suddenly freed. After his release, Gotō must find his captors and discover the reason for his confinement.

Romance of Darkness is a Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Chie Shinohara. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Betsucomi magazine from 2004 to 2005. Shogakukan collected the individual chapters into five bound volumes from June 2004 to March 2006. The series was adapted into a live-action feature film directed by Kenji Gotō and released in theaters in Japan on May 27, 2006.

Shigofumi: Letters from the Departed, titled Shigofumi: Stories of Last Letter in Japan, or simply Shigofumi, is a Japanese anime television series created by Tomorō Yuzawa and produced by Bandai Visual and Genco, which aired in Japan on Chiba TV and other networks between January 6 and March 22, 2008 and contains twelve episodes. An original video animation episodes was included with the final anime DVD volume released on September 26, 2008. A light novel series was originally adapted from the anime's premise set by Tomorō Yuzawa, featuring story composition and illustrations by Ryō Amamiya and Poko, respectively. Four novels were published by MediaWorks under their Dengeki Bunko imprint between October 2006 and March 2008. Despite the novels being produced first, the anime is considered the original work, as stated by Yuzawa. The anime was acquired by Bandai Visual for English language localization. The title Shigofumi comes from the combination of the Japanese words for "after death" , and "letter" , which literally translates to an "after death letter". However, the release was cancelled and Bandai Visual closed its North American branch. Sentai Filmworks picked up the license and released the entire series on DVD in 2010.

Speed Grapher is a 2005 anime series produced by Gonzo. The series ran for 24 episodes from April to October 2005 on TV Asahi. It tells the story of former war photographer, Tatsumi Saiga and his quest to save Kagura Tennōzu from Chōji Suitengu and the members of a fetish club, the Roppongi Club. In 2006, the series was licensed for release in North America by Funimation and aired on the Independent Film Channel between March 7 and August 15, 2008.

Summer Time Rendering is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuki Tanaka. It began serialization in Shueisha's digital magazine Shōnen Jump+ in October 2017.

Talentless Nana is a Japanese manga series written by Looseboy and illustrated by Iori Furuya. It has been serialized in Square Enix's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Gangan since May 2016 and has been collected in seven tankōbon volumes. The manga is published digitally in North America by Crunchyroll. An anime television series adaptation by Bridge premiered in October 2020.

They Were Eleven is a Japanese science fiction manga series written and illustrated by Moto Hagio. It was serialized in three issues of Shogakukan's Bessatsu Shōjo Comic magazine from September to November 1975. The following year, it won the 21st Shogakukan Manga Award in the combined shōjo and shōnen category. Shogakukan collected the individual chapters, along with three unrelated one-shots, into a single bunkoban volume on July 20, 1976. Viz Media licensed the series for an English-language release in North America, published in the now out-of-print anthology Four Shōjo Stories in 1996. The series is also licensed by Ediciones Tomodomo in Spain and by Japonica Polonica Fantastica in Poland.
