
Ilkka Heilä, 1956 Ekenäs, is a Finnish cartoonist who lives in Kaarina. He draws B. Virtanen -comic strip. Comics by Heilä appeared as early as in the beginning of 1970s in the comic magazine Sarjis. However, working in a post office replaced professional self-fulfillment of artistic tendencies the nearly 20 years period, until then he created Bulls-syndicate of his comic strip B. Virtanen and took part in comic competition arranged by newspaper Uusi Suomi in 1989. Thanks to this comic strip, Heilä could at last in the 1990s move to a full-time comic artist. He got the Puupäähattu, a valued Finnish comic prize of Suomen Sarjakuvaseura in year 2006.
Petri Hiltunen is a Finnish cartoonist and illustrator. Hiltunen has produced work in a variety of genres, but is most notable for his fantasy and horror work. He has won the prestigious Puupäähattu award in 2002, which is regarded as the highest honour for Finnish comic artists. He is also a well-known figure in Finnish science fiction fandom and a regular panelist and guest of honour at conventions, such as Finncon.

Tove Marika Jansson was a Swedish-speaking Finnish author, novelist, painter, illustrator and comic strip author. Brought up by artistic parents, Jansson studied art from 1930 to 1938 in Stockholm, Helsinki and Paris. Her first solo art exhibition was in 1943. At the same time, she was writing short stories and articles for publication, as well as creating the graphics for book covers and other purposes. She continued to work as an artist and a writer for the rest of her life.

Pertti Jarla is a Finnish comics artist most famous for his humorous Fingerpori comic strip. Jarla's humor is strongly based on wordplay and he also deals with subjects which are testing the boundaries of political correctness. Jarla is a relatively famous person in Finland and is often interviewed by the Finnish media.

Tarmo Koivisto is a Finnish comics artist and writer, cartoonist, and graphic artist. He is best known for his ongoing comic strip Mämmilä. Koivisto is also known by his artist name Tape.
